Romantic Interlude - Interesting Facts #2

  • The final chapter of Romantic Interlude was a two-day shoot.

  • Filming the final episode at the airport was pretty awesome because the airport was decorated for Christmas and we were just so happy that we got the permission to do film the final scenes there.

  • Dennis A. Amith intentionally waited a year to release the final episode due to wanting to hear the feedback on the first half of the episodes and also trying to find out how to rewrite the final episode script after the majority of film/picture footage of the engagement party was destroyed during processing.

  • The majority of the food for the engagement party was made by cast members of "Romantic Interlude" ranging from Korean to Japanese to Filipino to Hmong to Laos and more.

  • The expensive episode 14 - With all the expenses including food and production costs, together we spent a significant amount just for the final episode.

  • The biggest question asked by each cast member was how "Romantic Interlude" would end?  Since it has been over a year since the first four original chapters were released, many people Including the cast members waited anxiously for the final episodes.  Not knowing if the main characters would live or die since Dennis A. Amith was hinting to the actors/actresses that the final episode may be dark and depressing.

The Double Date scenes

One of my favorite video and picture segments of "Romantic Interlude" was the "Double Date" scenes.  In this case, although the trash talking scenes were non-essential and hardly used in the storyline and expensive, we yet had a great time filming them.  Click here.

RI Guys Always talking about girls

It would appear that each time I had a chance to take a rest from directing and producing, one of the male cast members of "Romantic Interlude" would want to talk about some girl they saw that day.  Click here.

Behind-the-scenes:  Episode 12 - Rei's Crying Scene

It was a very difficult day. Already we have put in almost 12 hours of work and we needed to finish off the most powerful segment of the "Romantic Interlude" series.  Phillip Kim and Norie Tanaka did a great job in putting themselves in the character's shoes and the whole scene took about 2 hours to complete.  Click here.
