Pulitzer,
Inc.
Pulitzer
Inc. is one of the major newspaper chains in the country. I worked
for Pulitzer in 2000-2001 as the Web Services Manager, Sr. Outside
of work time, I was asked by the corporate vice-president of Pulitzer,
Inc. to create the Corporate
Intranet newspaper site and the Pulitzer,
Inc. corporate site. The West Coast Pulitzer Newspaper,
Inc. vice-president asked me to create and redesign the Pulitzer
Central Coast Newspaper Websites which included The
Santa Maria Times, The
Lompoc Record, The
Times Press Recorder and the
Nipomo Adobe Press. I completed the following websites in
December 2001. After the redesign of the Lompoc Record, their page
views increased from 60,000 to near 150,000 and continues to grow.
I
also created the following sites for Pulitzer while I was employed
for them. The goal was to create a Website for their Central California
papers. Their daily circulation for their paper is around 13,000
and it was expected that the online version for the papers would
receive around 40,000 page views. After completion of the sites
in January 8, 2001 which I called the "newzcentral network",
the average page views for newzcentral was 140,000-160,000 page
views which far exceeded the corporate and anyone's expectations.
I was commended by the vice-president of the corporation for the
planning and creation of the site and led to me taking a proactive
role in the creation of the sites above. Over 300 sites were created
for the newzcentral network and around 80 comp logos were created.
It was a massive project all created and managed by one person.
Pulitzer
Central California Newspaper Websites include: newzcentral,
The Hanford
Sentinel, The
Selma Enterprise, The
Kingsburg Recorder, The
Lemoore Advance, The
Coalinga Record, The
Avenal Progress, The
Twin City Times and Riverdale Free Press, The
Golden Eagle and the community portal, eCommunitiez.
