* Wakui Emi will be in an upcoming TBS drama in the summer, "niju roku ya mairi" (26 wishes) to be shown on August 17th. It's a one drama episode special about World War 2. The story is written by Takeda Tetsuya (49) who was the father on Virgin Road (a very talented actor and singer). The story is supposed to be sad, so break out the kleenex.

* Ishida Junichi (43) [Ishida Issei's father] is rumored to be having an affair with model, Hasegawa Rie (23). Both have commented that they are not having an affair. Ishida Issei didn't comment and the mother is in Hawaii.

* Ishibashi finishes "Major League 3" which is going to make the richest man in Japan even richer. Taka-san commented that he loves Hollywood and would like to live and be a star there.

* Suzuki Honami will be on NHK "taiga" dorama, "Genroku?" with Shinohara Ryoko and more about life in the edo period. Now drama watchers who despise NHK dramas, will you watch this?

* Etsu Nanae (22), the hairstylist and wife of Toyokawa Etsushi (36) is five months pregnant and the couple are expecting the baby to be born in the month of December.

* Izam (of Shazna) modeled for John Paul Gaultiere (sorry, I don't know how his last name is spelled and I'm just guessing from the katakana) produced by Fujisankei for autumn and winter clothing.

* Hirosue Ryoko is planning to go on a concert tour next year. For now she will be in an upcoming musical "ginga no yakusoku" [a promise in "milky way"] with Nakamura Masatoshi on October 10-25 and December 13 and 14th.  Nakamura is a rock star and Hirosue is going to be the fan in love with the rock star.

* Seiko Matsuda (36) and new husband, Hatano Hiroyuki (30) have been dating only one month before they got married but rumors are surfacing that the two actually have been together for two years. Hmmm...wasn't Seiko still married with Kanda Masaki or were they divorced...

JUNE 6, 1998:

* Hatano Hiroyuki, the new husband of music/scandal queen Matsuda Seiko has been rumored to have girlfriends in which one was a dental assitant. In other words, the scandal with him is that he is a two-timing person.

* Suzuki Anju's (28) husband is in the medical profession. The two met because during this time Anju was having a problem with constipation (wow, these newspapers are direct) and the doctor that treated her is the man she had a relationship with.  * Nakai Masahiro will be hosting a show "98 FNS 1 billion 27 hours yumeretou", a famous tv  program and it's a difficult job because the  host has to perform for more than usual few 1-4 hours a host spends on television. So, Nakai may have someone replace him during the show because 27 hours is a long time to host a show, right? The show is basically a compilation of all Fuji related shows/celebs.

JUNE 8, 1998:

* Suzuki's Anju's husband, Yamagata (42). He is a famous doctor for stomach problems. He is the son of a kimono maker. The two were only together for 4 months before they decided to get married.

* Kimura Takuya was presentator to the winner of a horce racer, Take Yutaka. The husband of actress, Sano Ryoko.

June 9, 1998:

* Miyazawa Rie will be back for the drama, "Kitano Kunikara" (which has been around for 18 years).  The mystery is the ring around Miyazawa's finger. When asked what was the ring for,  Miyazawa did not comment and also they said that she is still skinny.

* Hatano Hiroyuki, husband of Matsuda Seiko is involved in scandal. The scandal continues to intensify about his two-timing. Was he really dating someone and with Seiko at the same time?  Was Seiko still married when she started having a relationship with Hatano?

* Komuro Tetsuya will be performing in the Paris Festival near the Eiffel Tower in France.  This is unusual because it is a festival for performers in France but the reason may be the working relationship with the French dude he worked with for the world soccer championships.  This festival is to commemorate the French Revolution Anniversary.

JUNE 10, 1998:

*  Is Iijima Naoko, Japan's Marilyn Monroe? In an interview for a drama for the summer season, Iijima wore a very beautiful dress that shows quite a bit (but I'm not complaining). The drama is for "Konya Uchu no Katasumide" [Tonight is close to space], starring Ishibashi Taka-aki.

* Matsubara Chiaki (43) the wife of Ishida Junichi (father of Ishida Issei) returned back to Japan from Hawaii for a Kanebo promotion. Last week, the scandal broke out of the affair between Ishida and a young model. When she returned, reporters asked her about the situation and she just commented that she talked to her husband about it.

JUNE 11, 1998:

* Japan prepares for the movie, X-Files which will be a bit hit among X-File otakus.

* Sorimachi Takashi did a promotion for his upcoming summer drama, "GTO" as a crazy teacher.  He is also sporting his new short hair cut. This drama will start on June 7, 1998 and will be on at 10:00 p.m. Fuji TV.

JUNE 13, 1998:

* Actress, Ootsuka Nene (29) submitted papers that on June 17th she will be getting married to a poet (34), Sandaime Outake Hamada Shigeyo.

* Actor and Singer (SMAP MEMBER) Inagaki Goro will be in an upcoming NHK drama with popular actress, Miyamoto Nobuko (She is almost in all Itami movies as the lead actress and his wife).  The drama will be shown on October
