IT'S TIME TO JAM!

Welcome to the nt2099 Cosplay Underground's "Ani-Jam 2003 Memories" segment.

For those who are familiar with Cosplay Underground photos. Instead of putting the cosplay photos up the way that most people do with theirs, Cosplay Underground takes a different approach to our cosplay photos. We like to graphically tweak the photos and visually capture your attention. As my friend Hiroshi would say...."have a fun" with them.

This photo coverage covers ANI-JAM 2003 which took place in Fresno, California on March 28, 2003 where over 500+ attendees from Central California and around the state came to celebrate a six hour Friday evening event. The event was a test event to see if a Fresno anime con was feasible in the Central California area proved that fans were hungry for an event like Ani-Jam.

I have to admit that I never experienced anything like this before in my 10+ years of anime con visiting. The energy was high and it was crowded and no one knew what to expect from a Friday six hour evening event and that led to just a pure energy event with people coming in full force showing their love of anime, cosplaying and Japanese pop culture. Ani-Jam was just a very fun event and I hope this paves the way for a major con in Fresno.

The photos were contributions from many people but first and foremost, Ani-Jam 2003 photographer James Ragsdale for his work at the ANI-JAM photo studio, Kim Tamashiro, Charles Amith, Peter Pastor and Edwin Macaraeg.

Last, thank you to many of you who gave us a chance to take your picture. Enjoy!
