The Robotech Echo is a non-profit discussion echo which has been 
endorsed by Harmony Gold Inc., and Eternity Comics.  The Robotech Echo
has also been recognized by Harmony Gold as THE ONLY official Robotech 
electronic conference. It is because of this that we have better access
to information pertaining to Robotech and all spinoff products/series. 
And this information is available to us first hand. The Robotech Echo
will publish all given information the instant it becomes available.

Rules:
------

1)  No flames.  I will not tolerate any direct attacks between users.  
There will be one warning, and then if the flames persist, the user 
will be denied access through their local sysop (per my request), and 
if it continues still, the echo will be yanked from that bbs.  Sorry, 
'dems the rules...

2) Commercialism.  There will be no outright salesmanship on the echo.  
Posts can be made concerning the release of new material pertaining to 
the world of Robotech.  Also, posts containing reviews and opinions of 
actual products will be allowed if only to properly inform the users, 
and not intended to initiate flaming.  Any trading is to be carried out
in netmail.

3) Topics of conversation.  The topics of this echo are limited to the 
realm of Robotech, Macross, and all other series which have contributed
to the creation of, or continuation of Robotech.  I will allow for some
comparisons between Robotech and other non-Robotech series (the famous
'SDF-1 versus the BORG', and 'Is Protoculture like Marijuana' threads, 
for example) as long as no thread develops around the non-Robotech series.  

4) Minmei Bashing.  Her status as a airhea.. er.. superstar allows for lax 
regulation on most posts about her.  Hence, Minmei Bashing is sanctioned 
in this echo as a popular sport.  As long as the posts are kept 
(relatively) free of profanity, sexual innuendo, etc. then there's no 
holds barred.  Minmei Bashers of the world, UNITE!

5) Carl Macek.  I know a lot of people out there have mixed (or just 
downright mean) opinions of the man.  I will NOT tolerate outright 
bashing of Carl Macek.  If it weren't for him, Robotech wouldn't exist.

*I will not tolerate flame wars concerning this topic.*

Everybody has their own opinions on his work with this and other things 
he's done.  I am willing to keep an open mind, and opinions will not be 
censored, and you won't be called down upon unless there is outright 
flamebaiting.  If comments are kept to a certain level of decency, 
then I'll have no right to complain.

6) Handles.  My position has changed somewhat on this one.  After seeing
other echos with handles in it, I'll allow handles in the Robotech Echo.
If you wish to use your real name and your handle, <i.e., sign off with
your handle, but have your real name in the 'From:" area>, that's ok.

7) Have FUN!  This is an echo for all Protoculture Addicts out there.  
Robotech has always had it's fans, and now it's fans have an electronic
playground.  Don't stop talking, and I won't stop transmitting.

I reserve the right to amend or change any or all of the above rules at
any time.
