Also, I wrote this just for kicks, so excuse my poor writing... :) =========================================================================== Graviton Senshi Sailor A-ko Scramble! A Sick and Twisted Crossover 'twixt Sailor Moon and Project A-Ko The battle for the heart is just beginning... A-ko Magami lay in bed, in her underwear, sweating heavily, turning and twisting within the throes of a nightmare. She kept seeing the face of her childhood enemy, contorted; they were fighting again.. The stock footage of her memories bubbled and seethed; she saw herself and C-ko standing behind the black iron gate of Graviton High School, with B-ko standing outside the gate, silhouetted against a flickering wall of orange fire. B-ko was nearly in tears as she said: "A-ko! You've humiliated me many times, so many times! You've taken everything that I consider precious, even my dearest C-Ko. For that you will pay!" And as A-Ko gasped in shock, B-ko leapt the fence, ripping aside her grey school uniform, to reveal... what looked like a strangely shortened sailor fuku, with a jetblack skirt and cape, a dark silver bow about four times too big across the front, and some strange metallic, sphere-shaped object in the center of the bow, looking like chrome or steel. On B-ko's head was a v-shaped tiara, and a thin black collar circled her throat. Long black, elbow-length gloves and knee-high lace-up boots completed the outfit. A-ko quickly looked and saw two of B-ko's 'henchmen' hiding in the bushes nearby, holding up a giant boombox, which played some kind of strange music, a tune that made A-ko's teeth throb in agony (and this from someone who survived the 'charm' of C-ko Kotobuki on a daily basis)... B-ko made a strange, even BIZARRE series of motions with her hands, and cried out, "I'm the beautiful and rich schoolgirl fighter Sailor Daitokuji! Against you who have taken the heart of my beloved C-Ko, I will never forgive! And in the name of the..well, SOMETHING..." (here B-ko ended with a wild contortion of her arms so strange A-ko expected them to fall off at the elbows...) "Oshiokyo!" A-ko looked at B-ko, her eyes widening. "You're going to give me a *spanking*??" And suddenly A-ko heard the sounds of nine hundred schoolgirls laughing in absolute hysterics from the classroom windows of Gravition High... A-ko did something rare. She fell out of bed. As she lay groaning on the floor, with her nose firmly embedded in the carpet, she heard the ding-a-ling ringing of the doorbell... She bolted upright, gasping. "Oh no! C-ko!" Her eyes frantically searched around the room for clothes and as she did so her eyes fell on the Sailor V calendar (her favorite show) on her wall, and a large notation in red pen there. "Oh no" she said again... "Today's the big contest!" With a speed that would have made a cheetah give up the race, she grabbed up her sailor fuku and her satchel. A-ko tore down the stairs four at a time, (the soles of her running shoes were already beginning to melt and she didn't want to get stuck to the carpet) and said this to her mother on the way out the door: "GottagoI'mlatebigcookingcontesttodaycanyoubringmemy dishIdonthavetimetogetitrightnowbutIloveyouandDadanddon'tletMrDarkseidsteal yourlassoagain!!" And then she flung open the door, grabbed a wrist, and took off running... D watched A-ko's 'takeoff' from the roof of her home, holding up a pair of binoculars which whirred slightly as they tracked her, switching to higher and higher magnification. "Today is going to be a good day," she said huskily.. "My horoscope said that something big would happen." And scarcely had the words left her mouth when there was a great *pop* sound. A small shape tumbled out of a hole in the sky to land squarely on D's head, knocking off her hat and glasses. The thing bounced once or twice then fell to the ground, and seemed to hover over the roof tiles. D bent over to look at it. It appeared to be some form of balloon, a round thing about the size of a basketball, dark blue in color, with a painted face like a smiling cat- and some kind of antenna sticking out of it.. D picked up the balloon-thing and was scratching her head at it when *BAMF* a second shape plummeted from the sky and landed solidly on her head, embedding D well into the roof tiles with a healthy *crunch*ing noise. The second shape stood up and dusted itself off. D, in her dazed condition, could only see a pair of stubby legs wearing white socks and small Chinese slippers, emanating from a bright pink fuku-skirt. The legs moved once and kicked the balloon-thing into the air, then they quickly disappeared from sight, leaving only the tinkling of broken tile bits falling from the roof to the ground in their wake. D groaned wearily and struggled to lift the binoculars to her eyes. In her dazed state however she saw only a fuzzy short pink thing moving quickly down the road on foot. But as her eyes uncrossed and the magnification increased she saw more clearly. A tiny girl with dusty pink hair set in two strange, huge ponytails, wearing a bright miniature sailor fuku uniform (D could only see her from behind). D squinted, looked again, shook her head violently, looked once more through the binoculars. She gasped, "Princess?" Makoto Kino, a tall girl with long brown hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a dark green dress and white jacket, sat nervously in her seat, running her fingers absently over a small piece of yellowed paper framed in red plastic, a small good luck charm she had brought with her from the Hikawa Shrine in Tokyo. She hadn't been nervous until she had actually sat down in the plane, but now she was beginning to realize. Out of all the people in her school, she and she alone had to uphold the honor of her fellow students... "Nervous, Mako?" This from the girl next to her, Minako Aino, a cute girl with extremely long blond hair tied back in a red bow, wearing a colorful printed dress of mostly white and yellow. "Hai," Makoto sighed. "There are going to be a lot of people there, and I'm sure a lot of them have stronger skills than me." She pulled the now-crumpled invitation from her pocket, a very officious-looking letter, scanned it again, even though she had practically memorized it by now. Rei Hino, the third girl in the row, now spoke up. She flipped her long black hair back over her shoulder and leaned forward to look at Makoto. "You'll do fine. You're the best out of all of us. Certainly better than SOME people.." A head popped up from the seat in front of Makoto, a head of yellow hair pulled back into two big round things the size of tennis balls. "What was that?" Usagi said with a voice that could grate cheese, large blue eyes narrowing nastily toward Rei. "Oh, nothing, " Rei said quickly, but with a slight hint of "You know perfectly well what I'm referring to" in her voice. "Go back to your manga." Usagi made a face.. "Beeeeeehh, why don't you go back to your *magazines*??" She stuck out her tongue, and Rei turned bright red. "Why you..." *steam, bubble, fizz*... Minako suppressed a small giggle and put her hand on Makoto's. "You've got nothing to worry about. I have faith in you to do your very best." Usagi and Rei nodded, without taking their eyes from each other, sparks shooting between the two. Mako blushed. "Thanks, but at least you don't have to worry.. Sailor V never gets nervous or makes mistakes." Minako smiled sweetly. "Well, I have to make an appearance as well..." A male voice rang out from behind Minako. "Fear not. Girls with pure hearts cook better than any other girls in the land. And the cookpot of love never boils over for such people." This voice belonged to Mamoru Chiba, a rather handsome young college student with short, dark hair wearing what appeared to be formal wear without the tuxedo jacket. He was chaperoning the girls on their way to the contest. Usagi's eyes turned into giant throbbing red hearts as Mamoru spoke. "That's so true.." she said dreamily.. In the seat next to Usagi, Ami Mizuno also unfolded a letter, which she had kept neatly pressed inside her mathematics book. The penmanship was fine and spidery, the paper a soft cream-color that made Ami sad when she thought of her own self-made stationary. She had received this latest letter only two weeks ago: "Mizuno-san. I'm delighted to hear that you will be in my city soon. I'd very much like to get together and meet another great genius girl like myself. We've wrote letters for such a long time, after meeting as children... I look forward to meeting you in person. I think that we have a lot in common." The address read: "B-ko Daitokuji, c/o Graviton High". Ami sighed as she put the letter away. She didn't want to admit that she did yearn to speak to someone on her own level... Neither Ami nor any of her friends, however, were aware that three pairs of eyes were watching them all very closely. The plane bearing those eyes and the six friend wheeled gracefully through the sky, turning slightly to make the final approach to Graviton City. "Sunny day, keeping the clouds away.. on my way to where the air is sweet..." sang C-ko happily as she and A-ko walked calmly into the front grounds of the school. There was an air of anticipation amongst the schoolgirls of Graviton High, and the scent of many fine foods in the air. It was the day of the annual International Cooking Challenge, and students of many schools from all over the world were coming to compete. Inside the venerable structure the halls were crammed with excited students running about carrying silver platters and ceramic bowls and pots on hotplates (and someone in the background seemed to be roasting a large pig over an even larger fire!) Girls and boys wearing different school uniforms walked wonderingly through the halls, remarking at the missile burns in the carpet, the potholes and broken glass, and wore special pins on their chests to mark them as competitors. One of the students, a handsome young man with long blue hair streaked pink near the eyes, and an unfortunate skin condition (it seemed to be a shade of green) happened to drop his badge, and C-ko stopped to retrieve it, giggling all the while. "Pretty..." The pin was of an odd design, about the size of a small donut, made of gold with a crescent moon and some kind of crystal in the center. A-ko watched as C-ko pinned it to her uniform over her heart. "Say, do you think you should be wearing that? That's supposed to be for the outside people to wear..." C-ko shook her head so fast A-ko expected her brain to come flying out of one ear. "No, no, it's okay, it's so pretty and shiny I just want to have it to look good, and nobody will notice anyway, besides I never get any new cool things." This last was said just a bit hintingly. Nervously, A-ko muttered, "Well, I suppose.." She decided it was better not to argue with her friend, or risk making her upset, so she decided to change the subject. "Say, did you bring anything to enter in the contest?" C-ko nodded happily! "You bet! I brought my favorite dessert recipe and made it up just for this contest!" She whipped out a large gold foil cake box with green and purple ribbon wrapped around it. "See, see?" Then C-ko's face got all shifty and her eyebrow went up. "You wanna taste it a little early?" She grinned widely. "Go ahead, I don't mind!!" A-ko wondered why the hall had suddenly become so quiet she could hear the cicadas outside. She looked down the hall but it seemed that everyone had simply vanished (though far away she thought she heard a cry of "Darling!" and what sounded like a huge burst of electricity). Suddenly she caught a flash of the next morning's headlines: "Girl killed by food poisoning- best friend suspected." The corner of her mouth began to twitch, just a little. And C-ko just smiled up, her teeth shining whitely... A-ko swallowed. She'd lived through C-ko culinary catastrophes before, but since this was a special occasion she knew the dish would be twice as bad as normal... but as C-ko uncovered the box (revealing something so hideous mere words cannot describe the grotesqueness of it, but it was clearly INTENDED to be a triple-layer cake, save for the bolts and the goldfish sticking tail-end out..) A-ko knew she had to bite the bullet. With extreme reluctance she took a tiniest fingernail's worth of white 'frosting' from the 'cake' and put it to her lips... There was a frozen moment... C-ko waited... Finally A-ko's head snapped up. "It's really good!" she said brightly. C-ko's eyes lit up happily. "Really? You really think so?" A-ko nodded... thinking to herself that maybe C-ko's pure heart had managed to somehow change the food she made into something good. "Yes, it's not too sweet or salty, and it's kinda minty too!" She couldn't resist asking, in her excitement, "How did you manage it?" C-ko put the box aside and thought... HARD. Then she quickly pulled out a small plastic can which read, "Pillsbury Cake Frosting." "I used this, but I added some things to it myself..." "Like what?" "Well, a little vanilla and some coconut and some iocane powder and.." At that very instant A-ko's skin turned into a rather fetching shade of plaid. Then she fell over. Two dark and shadowed figures watched closely, scrutinizing C-ko as she tried to revive her fallen friend. Both were silhouetted shadows, and were backlit by the rising crescent moon, even though it was the middle of the afternoon. "She seems to have a pure heart," said one, in a husky, androgynous voice. "Perhaps she has the talisman." "Yes, perhaps." said the other, more identifiably female. "But we had better be careful. The risk here is very great." The taller of the two figures nodded. "Yes. But we must proceed with our mission. " A second pair of eyes, belonging to the little girl in pink, watched the shadowed figures, grasping the small round balloon in her arms. "They're not the ones," she thought to herself, grapsing a small golden key in her hand. "Mama.. where is the Ginzuishou?" And then a flash of light from the badge on C-ko's chest caught her eye, and the little girl turned to look. Then she slowly smiled... A third pair of eyes watched the little girl watching the shadowy figures, and these belonged to D, who could only see out of one eye, and that only barely since most of her head was wrapped in bandages. D, watching the little girl carefully, spoke into her special gadget watch. "This is special agent D. Codename..." She was abruptly cut off. "Get on with it!" "Yes sir, well I think I might have found our REAL princess after all." The reply was breathless and excited. "Really? Oh, excellent. You must bring her back here to us so we can go HOME, D... I'm almost out of Romulan Ale!" "Yes, sir! I will do everything in my power.." "Very good. Report as soon as you get her." The voice clicked off. Several MORE eyes, belonging to B-ko and her henchmen, watched A-ko and C-ko, apparently taking no notice of the other four people watching A-ko and C-ko. B-ko growled and muttered to herself, "Look how happy they are together," as A-ko coughed up something green and slimy, and C-ko hit her repeatedly on the back, leaving bright red marks all over the back of A-ko's uniform. As A-ko struggled to her feet, still choking for air, she turned and glanced around the hall, having a very powerful feeling of being watched but being unable to identify the source. She heard a great deal of rustling and bumping and thrashing as apparently several people attempted to blend into the shadows.. only it was the SAME shadow, and that shadow hid a rusty locker door... She frowned and subconsciously acted, putting her arm around C-ko's innocent young shoulders. "If anybody is going to get to C-Ko they'll have to get by ME first." she thought. -!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- That's it for part one.
