ANIME HOSPITAL

                        Episode #1
                        scene 2

        Later that day, Toni sat at her receptionist's desk,
scanning files in the computer and taking calls. The scene was quite
unusual. Walking through the corridors of the hospital were doctors,
nurses, and orderlies, who weren't that strange themselves, but the
patients they catered to were indeed very strange. Large eyes and
incredibly mutable faces, the anime characters came to this special
hospital to be treated for all manner of ailments and injuries they
experienced in their abnormal lives.
        Toni brushed some of the folds out of her floral print skirt
and said, "Anime Hospital. Toni Li speaking. How may I help you?" The
phone rested snugly between Toni's shoulder and cheek as she tapped a
few buttons on her keyboard.
        "Yes," she said as she took down information. "Right then.
Now, would you like to come in for our standard service or our
cheaper Manga plan?" Toni glanced up then and said into the phone,
"Hold on please," and she covered the pnone with her hands as she
said, "Hold it Minmei! You know the policy. Anime only; we won't
tolerate any Macekans crossing the border. Now beat it."
        After that, Toni lifted the phone back to her ear and
finished with the caller. Just then, a commotion deveoped as three
women entered through the front glass doors. Two of them were
practically dragging a third, redheaded woman up to the counter. "We
have an appontment with Dr. Urize," the taller of the two struggling
women managed to say.
        Toni checked the computer. "Ah, yes. Nene's finally getting
her eyes checked."
        The dark haired woman said, "Yeah. After we found out that
she faked her police physical, we got our suspicians about her lousy
aim."
        "Yeah, well, you and Priss just make sure she doesn't break
anything this time."
        As the triad took a seat in the waiting room, Mike approahed
the desk. He handed Toni several files and muttered, "Jeez I hate
Animes."
        "You always say that," Toni said in a bored voice.
        "Well, I mean it."
        "You also say you don't work out, Mike, and just look at
yourself," Toni retorted.
        Mike blushed and simply said, "I'm gonna take care of these,"
vacating the area with typical swiftness.
        The phone rang again. "Anime Hospital. Toni Li speaking. How
may I help you?"
        Toni's face became worried. "Who are you?" she asked after a
short while. After she got her answer, she slowly brought her finger
down to cut the connection, press a few buttons, and say, "Get me
security."
