It statred out ///////////\as simply a place to trade CD's, but last /////////////\issue we started trading in all things Jpop, ////\\\\\//// /including videos, LD's and magazines etc. //// / //// / /// / Well this month its grown again. I figure //// \\\\\\\\\/ that everyone on the Jpop list has at least //// / a passing interest Anime, Manga and Japanese //// / in general. So, CD Ichiba is now the place \\\\/ to trade in all things related to Japanese 3 popular culture. So if you have anything that fits into those catagories you want to trade send me your list. And finally this issue I've included, for the first time, a buyers only section for those people desperately seeking stuff they can't get anywhere else. ============================================================================ This Issues Selection ============================================================================ Ok, here's this issues selection. Following the traders name and e-mail address I've tried where possible to list the album title, artist, format, and suggested price. Most traders are willing to consider any offers for the items they have on offer. So if there's something in the lists below that you want contact the trader via e-mail and work out some kind of deal. If you don't know how to access the Web or how to use FTP consult your local guru and get them to point you in the right direction. ============================================================================ Carrying Out a Successful Trade ============================================================================ OK, so you want to trade with someone listed in CD Ichiba, whats preventing the person you are trading with from ripping you off ? Hopefully their conscience will. The whole system is based on honesty, I'd like to think that we are all honest adults but undoubtedly there is someone out there just waiting to screw the whole system up. Please read the Disclaimer at the end of this document. More specifically please read Disclaimer No. 2 at the end of this document. Here are a few suggestions on how to carry out a 'reduced risk' trade : - Decide via initial e-mail contact if you really want to trust the person on the other end of the deal. (Tough call) Try to work out a deal you both agree on before parting with any cash or goods.- One of the best ways to ensure you get what you paid/traded for is to send goods COD (Cash On Delivery) wherever possible. - If trading multiple goods send them one at a time as a series of small trades rather than in one batch. That way if you get stung it's only for one item. - If someone takes you down let me know and I'll ensure that their name does not appear in CD Ichiba in the future. Any further ideas to prevent being ripped off greatly appreciated. Please mail them to me. ============================================================================ Contributing to CD Ichiba ============================================================================ CD Ichiba can only continue to be an effective buy/trade/sell magazine if there are people out there with items they are willing to trade therefore if you have anything at all JPop related to sell of trade why not e-mail me (Byron.Kidd@its.utas.edu.au) and I'll include it in the next issue. Relevant items may include : CD's VideosPostersRecords Magazines CalendarsCassettes Laser DisksAnything Jpop, Anime or Manga related. Occasionally I'll include an article about something I found interesting or useful and thought others might too. So, If you have any other bits 8 of information such as this which you think others may be interested in send it to me and I'll see that it's included in the next issue. Oh yeah, if you make any successful trades can you notify me before the next issue comes out so I can remove those items from your list?
