The first J-ENT ML LOGO

NOTE:  The only reason why I don't change the look of this page is because it was my first homepage I created and I look at this page to laugh at how I used to design pages back in the very early days.

Hello, everyone.  My name is Dennis A. Amith aka to many as "Kennedy" or "kndy".   I'm an entertainment writer and producer and I also am a big fan of Japanese entertainment (J-ENT).  I created this page back in 1996 on the Internet.  The actual discussion even earlier from my Neo-Tokyo 2099 BBS back in 1993.   I figured there was a group who would love to discuss all forms of Japanese entertainment and in the last decade, I have seen the ML subscriptions grow very quickly.

THE HISTORY OF THE J-ENT MAILING LIST
The J-ENT discussions started in 1993 on the nt2099 (NeO-ToKiO 2099) BBS back in 1993. It then evolved on the Internet in 1996, where Erik Lindsley and myself created the ML for discussion of Japanese entertainment that went beyond JPOP and in 1999, the ML was saved by Yann Stettler who is now the current tech guy for the ML and I continue to remain as moderator.
This mailing list is a Japanese Entertainment Mailing List in ENGLISH intended to provide a forum for discussion of ALL genres of Japanese entertainment. If you are wondering if there will be a lot of traffic.. Tuesdays or Wednesdays and sometimes Fridays there tends to be more mail.
There are other mailing lists, such as the JPOP Mailing List and various other J-ENT related ML's at this time but this is the longest running ML on the Internet where people can talk about Japanese entertainment on the Internet.  Also, I have no major rules or regulations to the information I post.  I don't own news, NOBODY OWNS NEWS.   So, you can use the info. on the ML to help others who are starving for information.  The only thing I do care about is that I OWN the property of my celebrity interviews, so please don't use my interviews on your Website without my permission.
You will notice that we are really cool with any type of discussion on the mailing list.  The only thing we expect from people is to be cordial and not be A__holes and not too much profanity to be used...oh, and I'm sorry Sukebe guys, no in depth talk on Japanese AV stuff o.k.?
Anyway, the J-ENT mailing list is in English and Yann Stettler and I will do our best to make sure this mailing list doesn't get too screwy. :)

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?
As you can see, basically anything regarding Japanese entertainment can be discussed. We wanted to make a mailing list where not just a specific topic but many topics can be discussed. The only thing we don't want is something dirty or something where people will flame each other for it. NO FLAMING! If you want to flame a person, then flame each other privately and not on the ML...and for some reason if you piss people off and treat this mailing list like Soc.Culture.Japan....as easy as it is to join this ML, as easy it is to take you off it :)

WHEN POSTING ON THE ML:
When posting, please include in the subject in brackets the topic of what you are planning to discuss: For example:
[VARIETY]: Genki TV's final episode
[SPORTS]: The final game between the Blue Waves vs. the Giants
