Log Entry: April 1996. The first batch of photos from Long Vacation on the magazines are out. The majority of the photos were of Kimura Takuya and Ryo. Yamaguchi Tomoko or Takenouchi Yutaka photos were out but in a very small number.
LONG VACATION CAST PHOTOS FROM APRIL 1996:
Kimura Takuya was born on November 13, 1972. Kimura Takuya is probably the most popular male celeb in Japan. He is a member of the popular singing idol group, SMAP and also a very good actor. He is also on other hit dorama's, "Wakamano no Subete", "Asunaro Hakusho", "Jinsei Wa Joujoda", "Kyousoukyoku" and "Gift". In Long Vacation, Kimura plays the role of Sena Hidetoshi. Sena, age 24, is a college graduate with dreams to become a world class pianist. He currently is teaching at a local piano school. He also has a problem with expressing his true feelings.

Yamaguchi Tomoko plays the role of Hayama Minami. Yamaguchi Tomoko is perhaps one of the top female actress in Japan. A former model, she is still #1 in the female celeb polls even at this time. In Long Vacation, she plays the role of Minami , 31, who is an out of work model. On her wedding day, she gets dumped by her fiance, and loses all of her savings, which she gave to her fiance. Her fiance turns out to be Senna's former roommate. She rushes to Senna's apartment and finds out that her fiance has skipped town. With no money, and no where to go she moves in with Senna.

Takenouchi Yutaka was born on January 2, 1971. Yutaka is a popular actor in Japan who was in the popular drama series, "Hoshi no Kinka" and has appeared in other dramas like "Risou no Kekkon", "Beach Boys", "Hoshi no Kinka" series and of course, "Long Vacation". In Long Vacation, Yutaka plays the role of Hayama Shinji, Minami's younger brother who just happens to be better than Senna at piano. He opens a bar/nite club and adds to the turmoil when he falls in love with Ryoko (Matsu), the girl Sena likes.

Inamori Izumi was born on March 19, 1972. Izumi plays the role of Koishikawa Momoko, Minami's best friend and also a model who is a little weird but cool in her own way. Izumi has been in other drama roles such as "Beach Boys", "Ryakudatsu Ai and is in the movie with Uchida Yuki titled "Cat's Eye".

Matsu Takako plays the role of Okusawa Ryoko, a sophomore in college and also a very talented pianist. She has never been in love before but she starts to fall in love with Minami's brother, Shinji. She doesn't know Sena's true feelings for her. Matsu Takako became very popular after Long Vacation and appeared in several dramas, shows and co-hosted the Kouhaku Utagassen. She is also a singer.

Ryo was born on January 17, 1973. Ryo plays Rumiko (Shinji's girlfriend). She's a bit of an airhead in the drama but she has an important role. This drama has boosted her popularity and I look forward to seeing more of her in the future. She said in an interview magazine that she is like Ru's character and that she enjoyed working with everyone especially Yamaguchi Tomoko. During breaks, Yumiko would give her lessons in the acting business in Japan and was like a sister for her during the filming of the drama and would cry at times because Yumiko was caring enough to help her out. Ryo is a model who got very popularity after Long Vacation. She appeared in a few doramas after LV and released a few singles.

HIROSUE Ryoko was born on June 18, 1980. She is currently the most popular female teen idol in Japan. In Long Vacation, her role was the stubborn piano student of Sena. Ryoko can be seen in several drama's, shows, magazines and she recently got into the music business and will be in an upcoming movie.
