ZARD is on the B-GRAM Records Label

ZARD is a popular group in Japan consisting of 5 (?) members, with Izumi Sakai on Vocals. In the early 90's (especially in 1993), ZARD and other B-Gram artists (a.k.a. "Being Artists") dominated the early 1990's.  Zard's music continues to be popular as of today.  ZARD is an interesting group because they do not do live appearances, concerts, hardly anything.  Just record beautiful music and you can see the beautiful Izumi Sakai ala video clip or on the album/single covers.   They are one of the best-selling groups in Japan. The "casting" of ZARD's music: the words are almost always written by Izumi Sakai, whereas the tune is usually written by Tetsuro Oda or Seiichiroh Kuribayashi -- neither of them are members of ZARD, although Izumi occasionally writes a tune or two.
