SMAP (Sports Music Assemble People) is a group of 5 guys: Nakai Masahiro (the leader), Kimura Takuya, Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsyoshi and Katori Shingo. [There was a 6th member, Mori Katsuyuki who quit in 1996]. These guys are probably the most popular celebrities of Japan in the 1990's. They are known for their music, their acting, they are on many commercials, magazines, many television appearances, radio shows, etc. They are that popular! They are from the Johnny's Agency which is the agency that produces many male idols in Japan.
