(uh......too many *grin*) #2: Any embarassing moments? Yeah......but not while singing a Japanese song. It happened my freshman year when I joined a karaoke contest. I picked a chinese song that was really out of my range, and I ran out of breath trying to sing the song - toward the end of the song I couldn't sing anymore. Oh well.......I sure had a lot of yuuki *grin*. At least all of the contestants gave me a standing ovation (probably applauding how bad it was......). Actually, I take my first sentence back.....I did have a somewhat embarrassing moment when I tried to sing trf's EZ Do Dance with a friend. It wasn't pretty.......(my friend was pretty good, though). Ditto for Da Yo Ne (those of you who went with me last time, you know what I'm talking about ;) ) #3: Do you dance when you sing those JPOP songs? What, and make my friends laugh even harder? #4: Any memorable moments? Hmm.....one time my friend and I arranged for an end of semester karaoke party with our Japanese sensei/TA's in a local Japanese karaoke bar. I couldn't get over how much my sensei/TA's drank that evening. They downed beer like water.....Oh, and I guess the first embarrassing moment was pretty memorable, too (see above). Come to think of it, I think everytime I go to karaoke with friends it's memorable since it's really fun. #5: Your latest JPOP karaoke moment Went with a few people I met over the mailing list to a karaoke box in San Francisco J-town. We sang a lot of songs that afternoon, and it was really cool to hear a lot of different songs. We're planning of going again soon (hopefully this week), and I can't wait to sing again...... Pomin p.s. If anyone in the SF area is interested in going, please drop me a line.
