NOTE: This week is somewhat of a surprise. No one from last week’s top 10 is in this week’s top 10. That is a first! Also, another surprise is that the top 3 for Wednesday on the Oricon CD single charts are all non-Japanese and are Korean. Last week’s #1, Kumi Koda’s “TABOO” drops to #16.

NOTE: Mr. Children releases another CD single in a little over a months since “GIFT” and takes the #1 spot with “Hanabi” and denying Johnny’s Jimusho group TOKIO from top position. Avex’s first self-produced group, GIRL NEXT DOOR takes the #3 spot. Arashi still continues to hang strong in the top 10 while last week’s #1, KinKi Kids drops to #6.
