[OFF-THE-HOOK] Shimatani Hitomi update and Newtype USA

Hi everyone,

A few of you have e-mailed us to find out what is going on with Shimatani Hitomi’s interview. A week before Christmas, our questions were submitted to Shimatani’s staff.

The translations were a bit difficult and a lot of back and forth between myself and Hiroshi on the fan questions. But we submitted to Avex and the questions have been given to her management. A lot of the label folks have returned this week after a long vacation, so I’ll be following up to see what is the status of the interview.

Also, a few of you have written in to ask about Newtype USA and if they are in fact, ending the publication. A lot of anime news sources have published an article yesterday of the publication to cease in February in place of a new publication.

In any case, I’m sure we will be getting a news release soon if it is the case. Nevertheless, thanks for your time and support!
