Louise (Meg Ryan), a high-powered Manhattan lawyer, is touched when she arrives for the weekend to her family’s upstate getaway to find it strewn with rose petals by her husband of 13 years, Ian (Timothy Hutton). Unfortunately . . . Ian is not expecting Louise, rather his much younger girlfriend (Kristen Bell). In fact, he’s actually in the process of writing Louise a letter explaining his intention to leave her for good. An oddly cool Louise has other plans. She takes Ian captive, refusing to release him until he commits to working on their marriage together. When Ian’s impatient mistress shows up, not to mention an opportunistic gardener (Justin Long), things start to get seriously complicated. Not merely a war of the sexes, SERIOUS MOONLIGHT is a story of a war of the wills as Ian tries to talk his way out of the situation.

Directed by Cheryl Hines (Waitress, Curb Your Enthusiasm) from a screenplay by Adrienne Shelly (Waitress), the film stars Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristen Bell and Justin Long. Screenplay by Adrienne Shelly. Produced by Andy Ostroy and Michael Roiff. A Night & Day Pictures and All for A Films production.

“Remember the Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally, and Sleepless in Seattle? This Meg Ryan is better!  Funny and visceral, the film exudes charm and humor.”

Veronica Mars the movie?

February 10, 2009 by J!-ENT · View Comments

“Veronica Mars” may not be on television anymore but Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello said he talked to “Veronica Mars” main man Rob Thomas and it appears Thomas will be pitching a “Veronica Mars” film to Joel Silver and Warner Bros.

Wouldn’t that be grand? Hope Warner Bros. greenlights it!

Model and talent Marie (21) promoted the release of the first volume of the American high school drama “Veronica Mars” DVD series in Japan on the 27th.  The DVD goes on sale in Japan on September 10th.  The box set for Season 1 goes on sale in Japan on October 8th.

“Veronica Mars” stars Kristin Bell as Veronica Mars, a daughter of a former sheriff and a former popular student who has been ostracized by the community after her parents separation and after her best friend Lilly was murdered and her father arrested the father of the most powerful family in town.

Veronica starts her life over as a teenager who helps her father’s detective agency to find out who murdered her best friend.

The series received positive reviews for its first season but in the end, “Veronica Mars” only lasted three seasons in the US and ended in 2007.  Kristin Bell would later move to another hit series “HEROES” season 2 in 2008.
