Jay Chou has meet and greet with Hong Kong fans

Taiwan pop king Jay Chou met fans in Hong Kong on Sunday to promote his new album Capricorn, sina.com reported.

The meet and greet in City Plaza, Kowloon, needed forty security guards to control the two thousand crazy fans. It was the first time in three years that Jay Chou made a re-comeback in Hong Kong with his new album.

“Fudan University’s Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts has named the Taiwan pop king-turned film actor and director as a performing arts guide. This means every time Chou travels to Shanghai, he will sit in on a lecture to exchange ideas with students, a school representative told the local Oriental Morning Post.”

CRIEnglish.com reported, “Pop prince-turned actor Jay Chou’s fourth movie, “Kung Fu Dunk,” is leading the February box office. And it is not going to be just one blockbuster. It will be part of a duology, says its director.”

“Chu Yin-Ping on Monday told the Modern Express newspaper that work has begun on “Kung Fu Dunk II,” which will explain all the unanswered questions in the current film.”

“Kung Fu Dunk,” starring Jay Chou as a kung-fu master and basketball player, opened in theaters on February 7. “There is much uncertainty deliberately left in the story, making space for further exploration,” Chu says.

[CHINA] Jay Chou’s “Kung Fu Dunk” premieres in Shanghai

CRIEnglish.com reported, “Only six months after he starred in a film about a high-school romance, Jay Chou has returned to the big screen to show off his basketball skills and kung-fu moves in a new production.”

“Chou led other cast members of “Kung Fu Dunk” in promoting the film on Saturday in Shanghai. Thousands of fans braved a rare snowfall and jam-packed the Shanghai Film Arts Center to watch the movie’s first local screening.”

“The crew will officially meet with fans and the media at a premiere ceremony on Sunday.”
