[JAPAN] Gundam statue wishes Olympics champion good luck

Mainichi Daily News reported, “4-meter-high Gundam statue holding a banner wishing good luck to Ise-native and reigning Olympic women’s marathon champion Mizuki Noguchi has been set up at a shopping center here.”
“The banner bears a message wishing Noguchi success at the Beijing Olympics, where she will attempt to repeat her gold medal-winning performance at the Games in Athens four years ago.”

Mainichi Daily News reported, “A 7-piece cosplay Char Aznable suit from the enormously popular “Mobile Suit Gundam” series will be put on sale by major cosplay retailer Cospa Inc. in June, it has been learned.”"The suit will retail for 13,440 yen and features a cape, shirt, trousers, gloves, boot covers, belt and Char’s trademark eye mask.”
