Pacific Media Expo: Day One
November 8, 2008 by super-no1

Pacific Media Expo opened In Los Angeles yesterday, with perhaps its biggest opening day in recent memory. The early afternoon crowd started out sparse but steadily grew throughout the day, filling the LAX Hilton with hundreds of fans of Asian pop culture. The days events featured the Cowboy Bebop Experience, featuring a jazz band and card tables, and a Pocky tasting room. An exhibit hall booth featuring items from Baby The Stars Shine Bright quickly sold out of merchandise. Returning for its second year was the Asian Food Challenge, where contestants with strong stomachs sampled exotic foods from Asia.
The evening concluded with a rock concert featuring local bands Vamp Star and Vaeidos and VK band from Japan, Suicide Ali. The bands performed to a capacity crowd. Pacific Media Expo continues through Sunday.

Good to hear! Curious how things will be today since the porno convention Glamour Con is happening at the same hotel. Just curious how the interaction of the two types of attendees will be…hehe…. But I think it works to PMX’s advantage because GlamourCon will bring some of those Asian nude and non-nude models to the event. And with PMX being an Asian pop culture event, possibly benefit from that.
You wouldn’t happen to have the Suicide Ali group photo where they brought the crowd up on stage with them, would you? If you DO have them, could you send them to me please? I was the guy hugging Hiroshi and Goshi ^,..,^ Email them to me at shelterhoodsux@yahoo.com if you do happen to have them.
I don’t have such photos, but if I did, I wouldn’t be able to release those to you. Sorry.
