Hi everyone, for those who have submitted artwork, can you please go through the following pages and a) make sure that you are there b) your name and city is spelled correctly c) If there is a title for your artwork and it’s not on there, please let me know.
A lot of people submitted artwork, so I’m pretty happy about that. I just want to make sure that everything came out ok. I will continually update these each time I make corrections, so please keep checking to make sure everything is correct. Sometimes when working late…my brain is fried..hehe…
Also, you will notice that there are some people with spelling of the Korean way and then there is spelling which the Japanese label gave to me (example: JaeJoong/JEJUNG. Please contact me, if it is important for you that we spell the name a certain way.

well, here we go!
Hi!
We are members of Pentagram TVXQ fanclub from Argentine, and we want to propose to all the Un official fans to participate in a project.
Recently, we heard the news about Cassiopeia entering in the Guinness World Record as the biggest fanclub of an artist, with 800.000 members.
We all know they are many, but how many are we? Fans that cross geographic and language barriers working on our TVXQ’s sites.
For that reason, we thought about creating a common forum for all the unofficial fanclubs and forums around the world, so we can know each other, meet there and share our interest.
The intention is not to unify all the fanclubs, because each one has its particularities and probably we all feel them as our little homes, but to have a place where international fans could meet and promote their forums, fanclubs and projects, as well as to share fandom productions. And also, to estimate how many unofficial fans are there in the most exact possible way.
After all, we all are TVXQ’s fans with a dream: that the boys know there are many places in the world where they’re loved and supported.
We hope that you’ll find this proposal interesting and will be willing to join the project.
We believe that each fan is like a star, so let’s get together under a TVXQ Sky!

Hi everyone,
For those who submitted artwork, please remember to check your the artwork PDF and the fanclubs, check the fanclub PDF to make sure everything is correct. Also, the section 2 PDF for those who submitted. With section 2 and the mini-reviews, I decided to keep everything like the… ^^ =) hehe… I didn’t want to make your comments AP (Associated Press) style. I wanted your comments to come off more genuine coming from you. Typically in the past, we would try to make everything AP but I decided not to. If anyone wants to submit mini-reviews, we still need them. Especially the DVD’s. As mentioned, because the Korean CD singles never came out in Japan, they can’t supply me with the photos, so I kept just a text mentioning of the Korean CD singles since I have no images. For those who do have them, if you can scan them and send it to me (hi-res), that would be great but if not, I’ll keep it as is. But please look at the review PDF to see which CD singles, albums and DVD’s we need reviews for. Again, a lot of this stuff was just put on, no finalized proofing yet. That’ll happen after the final complete article rough draft.
Btw, anyone know any Thailand fans? Haven’t had any response yet. Thanks Shuyi for contacting the Chinese fans. No response from Japanese fans. And one fan, from Korea actually sent her collection photos and answered the questions. I know the language barrier is tough but there are translators such as http://translate.google.com and also if they can’t participate because of language, I can still feature their photos. Just remember big photos and need name, city/province and country.
Great to hear from the Spain fan club members and I’m glad many discovered the article this weekend.

Jellyfish - The interview was sent last week, the profile questions were sent as well. I also asked for something special and I just hope these three requests can be fulfilled. Right now, several media sources are contacting me saying “100 pages”??? Hehe… And I tell them…well, probably 150…or more. This article is special for us and for many of you that it’s been a great journey that would be even more special if the interview does happen and everything else. Michelle, who is assisting me on this article is even more surprised because she’s a Johnny’s fan. Hardcore. But she is noticing how awesome the fandom is for Tohoshinki and just wishes that Johnny’s wasn’t so strict. Sure, I would love to cover SMAP, Arashi, Kat-Tun, KinKi Kids but at this point in time, since I love using photos, I love seeing the fans with their merchandise…it’s something Johnny’s Jimusho hasn’t really approved with press at all. And wished that Johnny’s would see how they have an international influence, but as long as they continue to be strict on image use, it’s very difficult. So, Tohoshinki is awesome because it’s fan interaction and how they developed their closeness to the fans as well as vice versa.
The official and unofficial fan clubs that we have seen for Tohoshinki, we have never seen this for any artist from Japan and so, I felt that as much as this article is for Tohoshinki, this article is all about showing them, the management, A&R and label that the fandom is strong, growing and nearly every continent. But how the group has inspired these fans and the emotion and passion that you all have put…from the artwork, the fan meetings, birthday parties, meetings, even section 4…that is just wonderful. So, I thank you all for making this article happen….and also I hope this will also. possibly may give the label a thought of more International performances. Knock on wood.

Dear KNDY,
I’ve read your comment above, and I felt so touched with what you have wrote. Since I was already infected with the Tohoshinki’s virus, yeah well, day by day, I noticed that more and more fans around the world were infected by them too…hehe, sorry if I used the word ‘infected’ here. But it is true though. I am so envied with all those hard work, the passion, the love that were shown by all the Tohoshinki’s lover all over the world, and I agree like what you said, it is just wonderful, really amazing. In each hours and even minutes, there are fans in the world who are thinking about them, doing charity for them, meeting with other Tohoshinki’s lovers in their country in which this show how united are the fans.
By the way, speaking of doing charity in behalf of Tohoshinki, perhaps you have already heard about this, Cassiopeia fans in Korea once had gathered during the Tohoshinki’s member’s birthday, Hero JaeJoong, and they did the oil cleaning at the oil spill location at one of the beach in Korea. I was so impressed by that time that they were willingly went out in the wery cold winter, wearing the sweater with a red ‘T’ symbol as a support for their new Japanese album released, and at the same time did the oil cleaning together. That was just so lovely.
Anyhow, I just wanna wish KDNY and all the J-ent staff a very Good Luck and also a thousand of thanks from Tohoshinki’s fans as your article project has gathered all the fans from all over the world. Really appreciate it.

I just learned that when checking some of the files for some countries, I clicked on sendspace links and I didn’t know the files are on their for a short time!!
For those who used sendspace to send me files, there is a big chance that I did not get your files. I will contact you if I have had any problems.
If there are Tohoshinki fans who know of a better site for storage of photos that doesn’t time out, can you recommend any?

Does anyone have info. on this Million Man event and TVXQ Cover… for this choreography segment, I have Mirai from Brazil but looking for other groups to feature as well.
Consider this a section 10 for Choreography. I’m like scouting youtube for these groups like from Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, etc. If anyone knows these groups that are on youtube, I definitely interested in putting you in this article!

Hi everyone,
Just to let everyone know that the deadline is on March 2nd. On March 3rd, I will begin on the main buik of the articles and many of you will be receiving an e-mail that you will be featured.
Also, I just realized that a lot of you are looking at the older pages…which I realized still had old PDF links. I just deleted those old ones…because the updated PDF’s will now be on this page.
A few questions to answer real quick:
Q: Will we be offering several versions of the article
A: Yes. A short version that will include group history, profile and interview assuming everything goes well but the main parts for those who just want the basics and then a long version offered as a low-res or mid-res quality which will have a lot of the sections that the fans are part of. I’ll see about a Hi-res. I will test it out after we are complete to find out how large the actual file be.
Q: Will you share with us when you finish a section?
A: Most definitely. What I will do is that for those who participated in section 1 or other sections, I will let you know about those sections because we always need the extra eyes, especially to make sure that things are accurate. So, yes… I will allow participants to get to see things early as things progress.
Q: Has the interviewed been ok’d?
A: The interview and profile questions have been submitted. Until I receive the answers, that is when I’ll be confident about everything. Knock on wood, everything works well.
XIOMARA: Hi Xiomara, I e-mailed you earlier today but definitely received your e-mail.
KAREN: Hi Karen, I’ll have you on the multimedia pages and not sure about the rest yet and I believe review pages but not sure yet on the others. I’ll get a clearer picture once I start on the main bulk of the articles after the March 2nd deadline.

Hi everyone,
For those who sent me e-mail submissions, thank you. I will contact you once I begin in those sections and if i have any questions but a lot of e-mail in the final week of submissions. Remember that section 1 submissions, I’m looking for people to answer the questions (look above on page) for the article. If you don’t have a large collection, no problem. This is more for the article of learning how you became a fan, how the band has influenced you and so forth. So, feel free to participate in the sections that you feel that you can.
KAREN: No problem…I believe I received a section 1 submission for the questions which is fine. We got a good submission from USA, Canada and Mexico, so for section 1 (North America), I’m more or less looking for answers to the questions now.

Hey KNDY…well we were making the parody for junsu’s bday gift project. but since we were either from all over the US or from another country, we recorded the parts separately and then sent the clips to the mixer(director) and she put it all together. ( so the video we made was definitely not exactly like the original but we tried to keep certain parts similar)

I can allow several days for an extension from the deadline date if needed. It just depends how much time you need, please contact me. I will be working on USA, CANADA and MEXICO first (so, unfortunately no extension for North America).

Hi everyone,
Thanks again for getting me the ads…I think March 2nd deadline at midnight…is actually March 3rd…but nevertheless, you still have time. I just realized that March 2nd is already March 3 in other countries. Confusing but don’t worry. Again, if you need a several days extra as an extension, no problem. The only country that I can’t accept extension is the USA, Canada and Mexico because it has been started already. Next country region I will be working on is Europe and Australia.
Also, I requested to get information on concert information for Tohoshinki, especially a-nation 2008. I will see if I can get information for those Internationally seeking concert tickets.

Wow! Today is just phenomenal, I’ve never seen so many e-mail submissions right on deadline day…hehe.. I’ll try to get to most of you via e-mail but again thanks everyone. It’s 11:45 am here in California (March 2nd), so for those writing in right now from other countries, you’re still fine.
Again, thank you for the submissions…especially from many new countries which is fabulous.
I am considering doing a SECTION X - This is related somewhat to the article but it’s for my podcast radio show where I tend to promote the latest interviews and so forth and thinking making one episode Tohoshinki related and just wanting t hear from fans from different countries tell me in 3 minutes and less about why they love Tohoshinki, why do they think this group has taken off worldwide even if people are not fluent in their language and also perception by fellow friends or family members of them enjoying a group that is from another country, let alone a different culture and so forth. I’m thinking about it…
CARLA: I would like to finish this by the end of March and get it out by the end of March or early April. The process is once I’m done, then the label looks at it and their management looks at it for approval. But I’ve interview many artists before, so usually, things go a bit quicker for approval on my end.
There is only one thing that maybe something that might be struck down by the label is any links to karaoke or stuff. As some of you noticed this past week, Avex has asked youtube to delete all Tohoshinki related music videos (Japanese). Avex (who owns the Japanese sub-label RhythmZone) is very strict when it comes to usage of audio and video.
So, we’ll see how things go for the first round of proofing by them.

The fan club directory revised version will be coming soon, also the “Where in the World are the Tohoshinki fans” update.
Btw….if anyone has seen the older tohoshinki DVD’s..please review. Especially the remix CD and older and newer CD singles.
I get a sense that this special feature (I don’t think I can call it an article with so many pages….maybe I will call it a novel…hehe), I think it’s going to 300 pages. Again, there will a short version with just the article portions and a long version with the fan stuff.
As for the interview, the latest update from the label is they are awaiting word from Tohoshinki’s management (or A&R). In other words, nothing yet. I don’t know how the guys schedules are right now…so, maybe for those of you fans who are aware of their current blog may have a good idea on their current schedule.

For those who are involved with anime-related conventions or festivals. If the event has consistently brought major Asian music artists and their event takes place in April-December, I am willing to give your con free ad space.
The reason I am choosing anime-related events is because in this day and age for music artists, they are typically are the ones that have money to bring big name artists and also have a venue large enough to seat a large audience. So, for your country who always wanted a band or group to come to your country, because the label for Tohoshinki will be looking at this article, perhaps there is a chance that them or another artist will have a chance to perform in your country. I am only interested in events that attract 4,000 people or more. If you know individuals involved in these major events, have them contact me.
So, if you have any involvement for these events, I would love to promote them and maybe one day, they will be considered for major music artists to come to your country.

Hello! Fellow DBSK fan from Canada. I would just like to ask a simple question.
About the “still accepting min-reviews” I do have a Mini-Review that I did in general, but it is more of a double magazine layout than anything else. It reviews the single “Purple Line” and talks about their influence on Japan.

We are still awaiting to see how things go because of their schedule to Korea and back to Japan and then for the concert tour, I’m hoping the interview is not pushed back. But before I make a decision of (going ahead with the article without the interview portion or waiting for the interview portion), we”ll see how things play out in the next two weeks.
I’m confident to say that without the interview portion, we still have a great article covering the fandom and with what many of you were able to see, a lot of great content. But personally, I would love to have the interview and profile questions together with the article.
I wish I could predict how things would go but even with past singers and bands I’ve interviewed, this case is a bit unique because their schedule is quite hectic and their traveling all over the place and the demand by media to have time with them is quite significant.
As I mentioned before, I’m grateful for those who have submitted their mini-reviews because even though I do get access to the CD’s and DVD’s, with Tohoshinki, I’m many months away from receiving things before most of you do. The demand is great and so, even amongst media, we are all trying to get in line.
But if there is one thing I made a case for this special feature, this is not article serving the USA or just a certain region, this special feature represents many countries of fans who participated. So, knock on wood. I hope for the best

JINI: The interview questions and profile questions were e-mailed to Avex in February. On March 2nd, they contacted me that they are still awaiting to hear from their management and A&R.
A&R is the person responsible for Tohoshinki’s activities for RhythmZone, Management is either through their management in either Japan or Korea, not sure.
I do know before starting this, I was aware that SM Entertainment’s focus is primarily on Asia, especially for their artists in Japan such as BoA, Tohoshinki and Tenjochiki. That is partly the reason why I decided to go for an angle of worldwide fandom because it’s one thing where a media from Europe or US is representing the readers of their region but I made it known to them on March 2nd that this article is without borders, there are over 30 countries who are participating. So, they know the urgency… And truthfully, even if the guys wanted to, it all comes down to the A&R and management who make the decisions.
IMANI: Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if they seen it already. Avex have been receiving a few updates but the last one they saw was the blog photos. This was important for me to show that the article I was writing is indeed representing worldwide fandom. I also requested for my Avex contact to print the page with the photos and give it to the management and A&R (And in my experience, they share it with the artist).
A lot of people is asking for the reaction of tohoshinki, let’s just say that there was a third request I made…but I can’t share it with you all yet. hi-mi-tsu (secret)
As we can see from the posts, Koreans and also Japanese members of the official sites have seen it. Whether or not they shared it on their official forums, I don’t know, but I hope so. (again, knock on wood).

But I do want to say that my contact at Avex has been very accommodating in assisting J!-ENT with this article.
But for now, I’ll work on the article portions because you will be surprised by a lot of the creative things that the fans have done.
From the Tohoshinki pinatas in Mexico, the charity event in Peru last week which fans donated notebooks to the poor schools, how much cake many of you have baked…hehe… It’s all good, it’s all positive and I’m starting to learn how amazing their fandom is worldwide.
But through the fan clubs (official or non-official), I learned that many friendships have begun and that many have found happiness through TVXQ may it be through the choreography, the fan gatherings and parties, the bond of bringing parents and children together. A lot of amazing things that I discovered and want to continue discovering as we progress through the making of this article.

Amazing post & well put.
I agree, I discovered alot of cool things when I became I tvxq fan. The fandom is unlike anything I have seen so far - it extends from young to old, either from liking their personalities, music, dance, and/or looks. All types of fans from around the world find something charming.
Alot of fans are trying now to put together events that can be for the greater good - like Cassieopia members cleaning up the oil spill in South Korea with T jackets, perviously donating hundreds of baked good to children’s shelter, and alot more is happening.
Hope it continues!

During the time of collecting everyone’s submissions, I received a few e-mails from people about a TVXQ/DBSK fan named Kayem (Emily Moon Kyung Min) who passed away back in December due to a battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma (bone cancer). I have read a few messages of people telling me about her, touched by her and eventually received a message from Junsu.
I know that there are some you who may have been close to Kay, so I’m wondering…I would like to do another positive thing in this article, perhaps we can maybe do a special dedication page but most of all to let people know about bone cancer and do something positive and alert people to what bone cancer especially what Ewing’s Sarcoma is all about.
Please feel free to let me know your feelings on this.

I did see Kayem’s youtube profile before. I got shocked and sad when I knew she passed away already. Glad that her spirit is still alive.
Please do feature her. I really don’t know her, but as a fellow fan, I want to know more about her.

I knew Kayem….she was an angel - honestly she was! I remember when I was new into the fandom and I requested something on the soompi boards, she uploaded them for me and took time to answer my questions. She was the most friendliest person I had ever met. At the time, no one knew what she was facing. It was only a month before her death that we found out … I cried alot after, reading her old messages … I can email you her message before her death.
She loved dbsk ALOT. (esp Junsu) She had a huge forum thread where she provided downloads for fans - vidoes, dramas, shows etc etc
And she ALWAYS took time to email back whoever emailed her and replied to everyone. She was just sweet.
I miss Kayem alot <3

I didn’t really know Kayem but I had spoken with her a few times before. She was one of the sweetest people I had ever met online. I also needed help with finding some things, and videos of Dong Bang Shin Ki and she pm’ed me and offered to help. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it, and she did have an entire forum thread dedicated to DBSK, and also at youtube. It had a list of DBSK downloads and things of DOng Bang Shin Ki. She was a really sweet girl, and I was really sad when I found out she passed away. Everyone at soompi misses her lots.

i have to add that i was never close to her, but i did see her and the fruits of her labor everywhere (she was a subber; she subbed dongbang videos for fans who are unable to understand the boys). and, from the things i’ve read, both from and of her, she was a very righteous person, who, admittedly, gained a few of her own “antifans” w. how outspoken she was. whoever she was, she was admirable, at least to me.

Hi everyone,
I want to thank those of you who e-mailed me about Kayem and I was able to read her last letters and it was tearfully sad but in the end, through her letters she tend to look at things despite knowing what was inevitable, positively of being reunited with her father and managed to touch a lot of lives.
I was also alerted to another fan named Yoona (Shooting Star) who also passed away. She was known through the forums for her DBSK fan fics. She’s written very popular stories like The Dictionary and Her name was Han Sarang.
I would need to verify information from family members if we can reach them or at least some sort of verification before I can go forward with a memorial page. So, hopefully I can confirm information.
Last, a few of you asked if the reviews are completed. They are nearly completed with just a few DVD’s. Some of you asked about why the Korean CD singles and the “O” DVD are not featured on there. Two things (1) Since we are working with Avex, the images provided to us are from the Japanese label and items released in Japan. So, far only three of the Korean albums have been released and a few DVD’s. But I’m not opposed to putting the Korean CD singles or the “O” concert DVD if someone can provide me hi-res scans to the cover artwork, catalog #, duration and track listing.
Also, I have not proofed the reviews, pretty much placed them. So, for those who were concerned about that, myself and a few others plan to spend some time proofing the entire article once we finish the first rough draft of the article. But for those who find errors or things now, feel free to let me know of corrections and revisions and so forth. Because this article is so big, I welcome the extra eyes. So, I appreciate those who are willing to help.
Last, for the “Where in the World” section, yes, there were quite a few people who were unable to take pictures in their town or city and did so indoors. I realized that many of the submissions are from young fans and people who have no transportation or had a case of bad weather in their area, or felt there were no cool things to take pictures in their town, so a few people who took pictures indoors are featured. Especially some who are outdoors that took the picture in the front of their home or back yard. Actually, some of our J!-ENT staff was wondering if people from smaller towns would be taking pictures in front of a local Target, Wal-Mart or McDonalds.
JENNIFER: Yes, I’m still accepting through special extension requests only. So, if you are interested, please contact me.
MARTINA & SYLVIE: I would love to have submissions from Slovakia and Africa, since we haven’t received anything yet. So, that would be wonderful.

CARLA: Ahh…It’s best if people wait and see (hopefully if the interview questions get back to us). Because we received probably close to 500 submitted questions, we could only select 18 questions (21 questions total). We selected questions from fans from as many different countries, so we can give as many people a chance.
Of those 21, I’m hoping none of them get cut. And of course, there are the profile questions submitted as well…which there are a total of 15 profile questions asked.

Just an update on the Kayem memorium, it appears this may have been a controversial subject maybe on the forum awhile back that I was not aware of. So, I understand both sides of those who support and have had contact with her and the other side of those who ask me to be cautious, to verify that she is in fact a real person and are concerned. Nevertheless, there are people who are trying to get in contact with the family members (sister) of Kayem to grant me permission. I don’t want this article to be controversial, so I just wanted to let everyone know of the latest update.

KAIYI: Mainly the DVD’s, the early ones, the remix CD and a few of the newer CD singles. I think we are near completion of all CD reviews now. And we still need a few mini reviews for the earlier DVD’s.

I JUST found out about this project, and may I say that it looks wonderful! I am speechless because I knew there were a lot of DBSK fans, but I’ve NEVER seen a project this big. Hopefully *crosses fingers* everything will go as planned! I have a big question, I know the artwork submission is over, or at least I saw some type of deadline on here, but can you make a HUGE exception and still accept my submission? I hope you can reply ASAP and if there’s an e-mail address I can contact you at (I’m still figuring out how to go around this site..lol) Please let me know! I would also like to help you with the spellcheck/proof-reading that you mentioned before. Just let me know what to do! ^_^

I asked you if you’d show those ‘Where in the World are Tohoshinki fans?’ photos to Tohoshinki, and you said AVEX has already seen them. But will THSK see them?, that was my question…unless i misunderstood your answer. Then I asked if you’d share THSK’s reaction when they see their fans across the world, and that’s when you said something about a hi-mi-tsu. (??) i don’t quite get it.XD Here’s a question that I’ve been wondering about too: Didn’t you say you’re in CA? Are you going to fly to Japan to interview them then?
oh yeah, also I wanted to say that I think that what you’re doing is amazing, and you too are amazing. No korean or japanese interviewers on television, internet and in magazines has ever attempted the topic of worldwide fandom. They’ve always simply focused on Asia Fandom. Once, Yahoo! Japan had briefly mentioned some worldwide fans, but it wasn’t covered to an extent such as this. You’ve given us an opportunity, and THSK opportunities to know that we’re here for them, and they can be more aware of us. Maybe they’ll do another english song for us, or later a world tour. What you’re doing is so positive for both sides and we all appreciate this so much. I guess you’re a sort of hero for us and we’re rooting for you all the way! KNDY FIGHTING! =D

Somewhere near the end of the mini-reviews are the reviews for Yunho’s and Jaejoong’s solos. One of the reviews for Yunho’s album has been put under Jaejoong’s section instead ^^;
