YUI to take a break from music for the remainder of the year, will return in 2009

Singer/Songwriter and actress YUI (21) announced on her Website on the 29th that she will be taking a break from any music activity this year and focus on music production activity in 2009.

YUI was discovered at a SONY audition back in 2004 at the age of 17.  Known for such hits as “CHE.R.R.Y” and “Rolling Star”, reached the no. 1 position on the Oricon Weekly Album Charts with her second album “Can’t Buy Me Love” and repeated at no. 1 in 2008 with her third album “I Loved Yesterday”.
