[J!-ENT] J!-ENT Celebrating its 15th Year Anniversary - 1997 - The Asunaro Club’s Fall Minna Atsumare Party

Back in 1993, I fell in love with the Japanese drama “Asunaro Hakusho” and in the drama was a group of friends known as the Asunaro Club.

We were operating with the name “THE SPY! CREW” as a group within the old J!-ENT BBS and when we attended the events (thus for those who listened to the podcast or videocasts hear us call each other “SPY!”).  But around 1996 or 1997, I changed the name to the Asunaro Club.

Around a decade ago, we used to have Japanese food parties at my home because I used to rent all the Japanese videos (around 20 or so videos on Thursday night which I had to drive to another city for and bring them back a week later).  And with all the videos were part of my J!-ENT report that I would post on the JPOP ML or J!-ENT ML back then but at these parties, people would come over to watch and we would cook okonomiyaki or yakisoba.

So, on October 11th of 1997, we had a pretty large party at my home that we called “Fall Minna Atsumare Party”.  One of the most memorable parties I hosted.
