[FASHION] Tokyo Street Style / Style-Arena Picks of the Week

It’s our Tokyo Street Style Picks of the week from this week’s Style-Arena fashion showcase:

HARAJUKU: Harajuku, the city that sports plenty of off-beat but really cool fashion. This week featured quite a good number of fashion from individuals on Style-Arena for the city and I went with this guy in the end. From the jacket, pants to the boots and even the man-bag. Overall cool look and choice of colors.

SHIBUYA: This week’s choices were also a bit difficult because there were a good number of fashion for the city. And Japan is in that in between stage now of weather getting warmer but still trying to incorporate some winter fashion. So, with that being said, the person that I chose was this woman who had a cool outfit (Although not sure if there was a cooling trend in Shibuya to wear that much in this part of May) that stood out for me. Good use of the black, gray and browns.

OMOTESANDO: With Shibuya showcasing their Winter/Spring wear, Omotesando picks of the week are in tune with the warmer weather and my pick goes to the following woman. A cool spring, white dress and hair nicely dolled up. Simple and in tune for the cool Spring season.

DAIKANYAMA: This week’s selection for Daikanyama sported off-beat fashion but it was nice to see selections that really emphasized the Spring with pastel or colorful fashion. So, Daikanyama is the city that really featured the season’s colors. But as for my pick, that was a hard one… But I decided to go for the brighter colors than the dark and this guy’s fashion, it’s once thing to wear oversized pants but it’s another thing to wear a very bright and cool jacket/sweater to emphasize the blacks throughout the overall outfit.

GINZA: The area that is not offbeat. It’s proper, it’s elegant and classy and very expensive. So, it was interesting to see how Ginza women in 2008 would sport their fashion as things get to warm up. Of course, the boots and long coats and scarves can no longer come in play, so overall emphasis were on the dress and of course the expensive purse. This week, I went for simple. And for the Spring season, this woman’s fashion just stood out (no not because of her legs…, well maybe just a little). But her outfit was colorful and the purse was as colorful as well. Her outfit was simple but still sexy. Maybe not to Ginza-ish but still, it stood out for me for the week
