[FASHION] Tokyo Street Style / Style-Arena Picks of the Week |
May 14, 2008 by KNDY
It’s our Tokyo Street Style Picks of the week from this week’s Style-Arena fashion showcase:

HARAJUKU: This week’s fashion features this week on Style-Arena featured some interesting hippy fashion. But since Harajuku is a city where anything goes, we have to give it to this guy who definitely shows us “anything goes”.

SHIBUYA: We go to Shibuya trendy and is it me, or do we see a hint of Koda Kumi diva in this woman’s fashion. Nevertheless, very Shibuya and the boots and shorts are just hot!

OMOTESANDOU: Omotesando is like a bridge between Shibuya and Ginza. But this week’s features a bit more of an alternative flavor and this person caught my eye. Maybe the purple hat and red purse made me zero in on her because of that. But for this week’s offerings, this woman’s outfit was different.

DAIKANYAMA: I tend to find overalls, not my thing. Ok, I can’t stand them. But for this person, she did something different to it. Finding ways to make it trendy and thus, I’ll give this week to her.

GINZA: No, no expensive outfits that I have seen in this week’s Ginza offerings which tend to showcase expensive to elegant fashion of the women. And it’s nice to see the heavy coats now gone and to see the ladies wear less black and more whites and pastels this week. So, for Ginza - I give it to this woman. Not too overly Ginza but yet chic!

SPECIAL SELECTION OF THE WEEK: This week seems to be more about flower child/hippy nostalgic type of clothing but this person deserves my special selection because look at those slipper/boots or whatever you want to call them. Wearing something simple but accentuating that simpleness with something cool or eye catching, I find appealing.
