EMI Music artists triumph at Q Awards

LONDON, 6 OCTOBER 2008 — EMI Music is proud to announce that its artists won in five of the major categories in today’s Q Awards. Coldplay, who won two categories, David Gilmour, Massive Attack and Glen Campbell all picked up their awards in person at the event in London earlier today.

Their awards were:

• Coldplay: Best Album for ‘Viva La Vida’ and Best Act In The World Today
• David Gilmour: Q Outstanding Contribution To Music
• Glen Campbell: Q Legend
• Massive Attack: Q Innovation In Sound

The awards for David Gilmour, Glen Campbell and Massive Attack were chosen by Q magazine while Coldplay’s two awards were voted for by Q readers.
