Leslie is a young film director whose works have had poor box office in the past records Facing a financial difficulties, he gets an offer to directing a vulgar commercial film. Being a man a high ideas. at first Leslie is unhappy with the unreasonable requested by the boss But with the help of producer Chung, he succumbs to the reality and finally prepares for a low budget movie……?

DVD REVIEW:

First, this is not an adult movie.

This movie is about a director who had two movies that bombed.  He gets another chance with a Triad (gangster) owned studio but he doesn’t know that the movie he will be directed is an adult film?

The movie is hilarious and focuses on the director’s several stages of filming this movie.  How he wants to make a good movie, despises porno movies and now he has to film one.  In this film is his cop girlfriend (Karen Mok) who tells him to work because he hasn’t worked for a year and Shu Qi who is a bad actress but since her boyfriend is the owner of the studio she’s playing the lead.  Unfortunately, she’s so bad of an actress that the director feels like giving up.

The movie is a comedy and romance and I guess you can say it’s the HK Boogie Nights but not based on a real story.

As typical for older Universe DVD’s, just trailers and star files.  All in all a good movie and even better for Shu Qi fans.
