The final day for the ticket lottery to watch Michael Jackson’s Memorial at the Staples Center or the Nokia Theater

Today is the final day to get tickets to watch Michael Jackson’s Memorial at the Staples Center. Viewers can go to the following website to register their names to become eligible for the Memorial. The registration for the tickets will end at 6:00 p.m. on July 4th and 8,750 names will be randomly drawn to receive two tickets at the Staples Center or the Nokia Theater. Those that will receive the tickets will be notified on Sunday between 11:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. on how they can obtain their tickets and wristbands.

President and CEO of AEG (which owns the Staples Center), Tim Leiweke told the press, “This is a memorial. I’m hoping that people have dignity. We’re doing our best to accommodate the worldwide demand. For those who would try to take advantage of this, shame on them.”
