Cutting Edge artist OLIVIA makes her return with a new mini-album “Trinka Trinka” to be released on September 17th.
The mini-album will feature six tracks:
- Trinka Trinka
- Rain
- Because
- Collecting Sparkles
- Miss you
- Your Smile
and will feature a DVD with the music clip for “Rain”. CD+DVD version (CTCR-14597/B for Y2,625) and CD version (CTCR-14598 for Y,2100).
For those of you unfamiliar with Olivia, she is an esoteric artist, singer-songwriter, illustrator and creator of strange things.
On 9/17, she is releasing a new mini-album called “Trinka Trinka”. Unsatisfied with the words in the dictionary, she created this word meaning EXCITED, LAUGH, GIGGLE, FUN and blooming out of her gloom, and joy being her inspiration. She has put together a more energetic, fun and bright sound compared to her other releases. “Trinka Trinka” is filled of twists of techno, dashes of electronic, ambient, mainstream rock, melodious vocals and filled with many treats from her soul. The lead track “RAIN” is the ending theme for a TV Tokyo drama called “Keitai Sousakan 7″.
Interesting notes: Murochin (Drummer) and Sakamoto Azuma (Guitar) of the band Wrench are among the musicians featured in several tracks. OLIVIA’s brother Jeffrey Kufkin was involved with the music and arrangement for several of the tracks. The tracks “Because” and “Your Smile” feature music and arrangement by OLIVIA and with every track, words by OLIVIA or with Kawamura Masumi.
