Mainichi Daily News reported:
Prosecutors have arrested music producer Tetsuya Komuro on suspicion of defrauding an investor out of 500 million yen by saying he would transfer copyrights he did not own, law enforcers said.
Komuro, 49, and two other people involved in the deal were arrested by a special investigative squad from the Osaka District Public Prosecutors Office on Tuesday on suspicion of fraud.
The suspects stand accused of defrauding the money from an investor who said he wanted to become involved in the music distribution business, and of using the money to repay loans.
