SUSAN LUCCI HEADLINES AS CAMERON MATHISON HOSTS THE SIXTH ANNUAL “ABC/SOAPnet SALUTE BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS” BENEFIT TO BE HELD AT TOWN HALL IN NEW YORK CITY, MARCH 21, 2010

Featuring a Special Musical Performance by Sherri Shepherd, Co-Host of “The View”

The curtain rises at Town Hall in New York City on March 21, 2010 in celebration of the sixth annual “ABC/SOAPnet Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS,” as the spotlight shines on stars from ABC’s “All My Children,” “One Life to Live,” “General Hospital” and “The View” who’ll join together singing and dancing on Broadway for a one-night-only gala concert in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.” The announcement was made today, by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group.

“All My Children” star Susan Lucci will headline and Cameron Mathison will serve as host for the evening’s festivities. Joining them on stage is an all-star ABC Daytime cast, including Rebecca Budig, Melissa Claire Egan, Bobbie Eakes and Cornelius Smith, Jr., from “All My Children”; Kristen Alderson, Scott Clifton, Scott Evans, Kassie DePaiva, Mark Lawson, Nicholas Rodriguez, Tika Sumpter, Jason Tam and Brittany Underwood from “One Life to Live”; and Bradford Anderson, Brandon Barash, Anthony Geary, Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons from “General Hospital.” The benefit will also feature a special musical performance from Sherri Shepherd, Emmy Award-winning co-host of “The View.” Tickets are now on sale at www.broadwaycares.org or call 212.840.0770. Additionally, the producers are proud to announce the second installment of “SOAP-A-THON” on Friday, December 4, 2009. “SOAP-A-THON” is an interactive online competition where fans of ABC Daytime dramas have the chance to win prizes and appear on stage at the event at Town Hall on March 21, an experience no ABC Daytime fan would want to miss. This year “SOAP-A-THON” will focus on celebrating the unforgettable families residing in the legendary towns of all three ABC Daytime shows – Pine Valley, Llanview and Port Charles. Once registered as “SOAP-A-THON” participants, fans can set up and personalize their own fundraising web page to show their support for their favorite ABC Daytime “family tree.” Throughout the competition, fans will be eligible to win one of-a-kind prizes like autographed photos, signed scripts and a DVD of the 2010 show at Town Hall. The top fundraising fan teams’ coordinator will be eligible to win round trip airfare for two to New York City and a pair of VIP tickets to the March 21 event. Fans can use the internet via e-mail, blogs, Twitter or Facebook to reach out to family, friends and other ABC Daytime fans interested in making a donation in the name of their favorite “All My Children,” “One Life to Live” or “General Hospital” Family. “ABC/SOAPnet Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS” marks the sixth benefit BC/EFA has produced in conjunction with the network in support of the organization.
