My employer offers health insurance that if I were to take it cost me close to $400 a month with a huge deductable and then covers only 90% of any approved services. Additionally, employees are tagged for weight, high blood pressure, smoking, etc. I can’t afford this.

I am fortunate that my husband’s (union company) overs health insurance that costs less than half that monthly amount with total coverage and little out of pocket. Truthfully, if he did not have this coverage, we would not have health insurance as we could not afford it, and our family would join the ranks of the uninsured.

Our fear is that health reform will force me off his plan and into my employers and/or change our plan to one which costs us more than we can afford.

As for taxing….are we not over taxed now? Every government body has their hand out for another tax.

As a homeopathic health practitioner for 12 years, I have seen where the healthcare movement has been going through my clients. I would like to see a provision within the system for those that might look to alternative health and financial solutions. Many times alternative methods are far more cost, time and health effective. At least there should be provisions for options and choice.

To make sure we get the most for our money, this should be a requirement–Congress MUST receive the same program-NO EXCEPTIONS- Their health care program must go away. What better way to prove they really believe in the the health care system they vote into law? Why should they receive a better coverage than the average person?
