JULIA ROBERTS GRILLS DAVID LETTERMAN ON HIS MARRIAGE WHEN SHE VISITS THE “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN,” TUESDAY, JUNE 9 ON CBS

Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts had plenty of questions for David Letterman about his recent marriage when she visited the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Tuesday, June 9 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Roberts teased, “I don’t know if I can look you in the eye anymore…Last time I saw you, you were single and then I, like, hypnotized you in my white suit or something and you went off and married Regina.” She then peppered the host with several questions about his nuptials, including, “Did she take your name?” Letterman said that she did, and Roberts asked, “So she’s Mrs. Letterman?” to which he deadpanned, “No, she’s Dave.”

Letterman said that the fun part about his wedding was having his son, Harry, attend, and Roberts asked, “What did he think you were doing?” Letterman joked, “Well, he thought I was getting my driver’s license renewed.” Roberts asked if there was any video of the ceremony, but Letterman said there are some photos, and added that the service “was me, it was my son, it was Regina and the justice of the peace, and that was it.” He had the audience laughing when he said, “I mean, it’s legal, that’s the most important thing, right?” Roberts agreed that “you’re bound for eternity,” and Letterman said, “That’s right, and never been more deeply in love.” That comment drew applause from the audience and laughter from Letterman and Roberts, prompting her to call Regina a “lovely and, no doubt, tolerant woman,” and Letterman replied, “Yes, and I know she’s watching at home.”

Also featured on tonight’s LATE SHOW are music sensations Black Eyed Peas performing their new single, “I Gotta Feeling,” off their latest release, The E.N.D., which dropped today.
