DVD REVIEW:

The Cheaters.  A movie that I felt midway through the film had potential just fizzled at the end and you wonder to yourself, "did I miss something?"

Many people who are going to watch this movie are going to expect something very good because the movie stars Jordan Chan and Alex Fong.  These two actors do a good job playing their characters and the Billy Chung did a good job keeping the viewer at bay by thinking "who's the traitor?"

But no matter what the budget of the movie was, the fault lies in the movie's story.  Why build up to such a climax when you can't end the movie properly.  Perhaps one would think that there should have been an alternate ending to this movie.

As for the DVD, the video was ok.  For a 2001 film, you would expect better quality with the video. As for the audio, the movie is more of a dialogue film and the voices come out clear.  The subtitles were very good and I didn't notice any errors with translation.

As for DVD special features, this is a barebones Universe Laser DVD release.  A trailer and star files only.

Otherwise, if you are a fan of Jordan Chan and Alex Fong, then you may want to check this movie out but be warned that the ending may disappoint you.
