Synopsis:
Jan's mother dies while giving birth to him and his licentious
father hates the boy so much. At the age of 17, his father brings
his former lover into the household, and she gives Jan the first
lesson his education sentimental. But then he is accused of molesting
his sister and is expelled from the household with quiet relief.
Three years later, he is summoned back to take revenge ….

DVD REVIEW:
I
have heard
so much about this film. It's a Thailand and HK production with
the film taking place in Thailand. It's controversial, it's troubling
and I held out watching it but as a Christy Chung fan, I decided
to check it out.
When
you watch this film, each minute...you just aren't prepared for
how dark this film can get. I simply call this film a bastard
film because every character has been bastarized to doing really
bad things.
The
main character Jan Dara is hated by his father because his mother
died giving birth to him. Thus the father puts his child through
Hell. Seeing how the father treats him, you literally feel bad
for this kid but things start getting a little weird when a very
young Jan Dara asks his aunt that he always wanted to feel his
head nestled in his mother's breast. Of course, as a youngster
the only images he knows is from his father having sex with many
women, thus what does the aunt do for young Jan Dara....thrust
his face all over her breasts. Think this is bad? Keep watching,
it gets worse.
His
aunt then has sex with his father who then gets her pregnant and
raises a daughter to despise Jan Dara. The daughter is a witch
of a daughter who will do what she can to make Jan Dara's life
like Hell. Even by plotting a fake scene where she tells people
that Jan Dara tried to molest her when he didn't and thus Hell
continues to follow teenage Jan Dara.
What
about Christy Chung? She plays one of the playthings of Jan Dara's
father. Stepmother, slut. Whatever you want to call her character.
Every
character in this film are pretty much messed up. Family members
are having sex with family members but nothing prepares you for
the final few minutes. If anything, the scenery of a bloody miscarriage
was enough for me to not recommend this movie.
As
for the DVD, typical bare bones DVD.
If
this movie is supposed to make you feel shocked but using sex
to make a dark film much more enjoyable then, it accomplishes
that. But I don't know what to say. If you like dark, sexual films...this
one is for you.
For
me, it's just to screwed up for me to recommend to any of you.
