DVD REVIEW:

Nick Cheung movies are the type of movies you want to watch when you watched too many martial arts, violent or whichever other type of HK movie you have been viewing as of late. In other words, movies to relax and give a break from the typical HK movies out right now.

"Every Dog Has His Date" is no exception bringing together Michelle Reis and Nick Cheung together. The story is humorous and nearly every Nick Cheung movies that I have seen are quite average but were enjoyable to watch because they are humorous and different from the many HK films out there. Stupid humor some may call it, but his films feature A actors instead of B actors.

In this case, Nick plays a guy named Fai who somehow switches body with Sharon's (Reis) dog, Man. Of course, Sharon loves her dog and her dog leads her to a veterinarian but unfortunately Fai as Man develops a crush on Sharon. What is a guy err...dog to do?

As for the DVD, low in special features. Subtitles have their usual amount of errors but all in all, this film is one of those movies when you want to take a break from other HK movies. Like Nick Cheung movies, then you will like this one.
