Movie Synopsis:

Two guys (Feng - an artist, Yun- a writer) who dream of having their own comic book work for a company who wants to deceive them.  There they meet the beautiful secretary and together the three decide to start their own comic book company until friction develops between the two friends when they fall for the secretary and then become rivals in the comic book industry.  Both use Nicholas Tse as a model to base their comic book characters (one a swordsman and the other a triad gang leader).

DVD REVIEW:

When I first bought this DVD, I figured it was cheap.  It stars Nicholas Tse, Eason Chan and others...What do I have to lose?

Well, I enjoy manga and comic books and I figured that this storyline would interest me.  Well, the story was ok but you can tell it was low budget and perhaps the money went to hiring Nicholas Tse to be in the movie.

The disappointment is more towards the DVD itself.  Another new DVD coming out with burned in subtitles and no special features or trailers whatsoever.

Sure, you get two audio tracks and an introduction but other than that, now you know why the DVD is so cheap.

But if anything, the movie is ok.  It has a certain cheese factor due to the cheesy special effects but if you enjoy comics, you may enjoy this movie but don't get your hopes up because the ending is a let down.
