DVD REVIEW:

This film directed by "Rumble in the Bronx" director Stanley Tong is meant to be an International film.  With US based martial artist Mark Dacascos, hip hop artist Coolio, Hong Kong singer and action star Aaron Kwok and Japan's currently popular & beautiful actress Norika Fujiwara.

One of the problems when an HK film tries to go International with multiple stars is the usage of broken English.  In this case, it may disturb people.

The movie is not bad, it's pretty fun to watch.  In the DVD case, the English subtitles have too many errors and hope whoever is licensing it in the US to fix them up.  For example, Coolio says "Like the Real Deal, Holyfield".  In the subtitles, "Like the Real Deal, Holy Deal".  I'm guessing the subtitler had to subtitle by ear.

As for the video and audio, it's pretty good.  Being one of the newer DVD's out with DTS, it's all good!  Now, as for special features, there is a making-of 20-minute featurette in the actor's main language but it's not subtitled in English but in Chinese.

So, all in all the movie is good if not taken seriously.  You have to respect the actors because they actually did a lot of their stunts which is shocking.  To see the ending credits and see Fujiwara get hurt was a shock.  You would think that they would of used a stuntwoman.  The fault lies in the presentation of the DVD with problems with the English subtitles and the lack of subtitling on the featurette.
