DVD REVIEW:

This movie got a lot of media attention due to its storyline. The move touches on the teenage problem currently in Japan and throughout the world regarding juvenile delinquents and teenage murderers.

This story is about the problem getting out of hand and how the government takes care of it is by having a lottery in which one of the troubled classes will be selected, taken to a place and if you survive, you get to live. The goal is to eliminate the other students to survive.

In a way, I didn't want to watch this movie because of the storyline but once I gave it a try, you can't really stop watching. It's an interesting movie that has it's cheesiness and some parts will make you laugh but the thing is, you'll find it interesting how everyone, including friends start to doubt each other and start killing each other off.

Granted, this is not a movie you may want to see repeatedly but it's an interesting take on teenage crime.

Also, the fact that it stars Kitano Takeshi is enough to tell you that it's going to be violent.

All in all, an interesting movie that will be talked about for quite some time.
