DVD REVIEW:

This anime has to be one of the few that I watched and simply said "Huh?"

"The Soultaker" is an awesome anime with cool visuals but in terms of storyline and plot, it's one of those that you can tell...you need to watch and stay in for the long haul because the first few episodes is quite disorienting and confusing but visually quite satisfying to watch.

The character designs are pretty cool and the characters themselves are quite interesting but I can't say much about the anime just yet. Again, it's one of those that you need to decide for yourself it you want to stay in it for the long haul.

As for the DVD, it looks beautiful and the colors look great. Audio, it was good...nothing spectacular. As for special features, the usual textless op/ed. But the booklet is really an interesting read, although it does contain spoilers for upcoming episodes.

All in all, a very interesting anime that I will need to keep watching before I make a judgement.
