Anime Synopsis:

In the battles with Eugeal over the heart crystals, the Sailor Scouts all learn each other’s identities. However, instead of bringing them together to save the world, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and the new arrival, Sailor Pluto, insist that Sailor Moon and her friends only get in the way! Sailor Moon gains even more power when they uncover the secrets of the Holy Grail, but even though she defeats Eugeal, even more powerful foes replace her! Meanwhile, Chibi-Usa (Mini-Moon) has made a new friend, Hotaru. Will they learn that her father is the evil Professor Tomoe before it is too late?

DVD REVIEW:

This is the fourth volume of the most popular arc in the Sailor Moon series.

What is so special about this series?  Well, it's not only because we have the introductions of the new sailor senshi scouts but also near the end of the series, it becomes SERIOUS.  The battles become intense and blows the previous two series away in terms of what you have seen from Sailor Moon before. I was lucky to see this when it was out in Japan and I am happy to see it out in the US for fans in Japanese with subtitles and um...English dubbed.  Just wait until Pluto and especially the other Senshi (secret!) comes to play a part in this anime TV series.

The fourth DVD volume finally introduces Hotaru and when you find out more about her later - it will blow you away! Also, more on the relationship between Uranus and Neptune (Japanese version) which their lesbian relationship was not introduced but rewritten for the English kiddie TV version. Also, you get to see more of Sailor Pluto and something bad happens to Eugeal. What more can you ask for?

Anyway, don't expect great quality for anime since this is an anime TV series not a movie or OAV. It was really good during it's time years ago and the paintings are marvelous but it's not sharp because it's a TV series (lower budget than movies).

So, this is the episode 90-127 storyline arc (episode 109-114).  There are 37 episodes total for the series and a total of 6 episodes on this DVD. So, two more DVD's left!

As for special features, well there are hardly any.  A gallery with hardly anything and a profile of Sailor Mercury.

A series of the Sailor Moon Series that is important to the storyline.  Check it out!
