Yogoreta Shita (Filthy Tongue) [Excerpt from waiwai, Daily Mainichi, Feb. 18, 2005]: Iijima will be unveiled like never before in "Yogoreta Shita (Filthy Tongue)," a TV drama to start screening on TBS from April 14. "Iijima apparently gets into a really raunchy love scene for this series," a TV beat reporter tells Asahi Geino. "Even if she doesn't go fully nude, viewers can expect a semi-nude scene at the very least." News surrounding "Filthy Tongue" has so far been greeted by tight lips, with only the title and leading cast members' names released publicly. But a production insider informs the men's weekly that "it will be fairly steamy." Iijima will play an unmarried woman who opens a florist in Tokyo. Her character lives with her mother but is seeing a man hated by her mother, who blames him for driving her husband to suicide. The male lead, played by heartthrob Tatusya Fujita, competes for the heart of Iijima's character with Hiroshi Kato. Kato plays the president of a major florist company who sweeps Iijima's character off her feet and the series apparently revolves around the love triangle and its maze of forbidden romances and flings. "Filthy Tongue's" website contains little information about the show at the moment, but what it does have is sizzling, according to the weekly. Prominently displayed in the middle of the site is a huge, red rose from which an erotically twirling tongue protrudes. Scripts for the series have apparently been produced by a company known for its racy scenes, giving further fuel to specualation about just how far Iijima will be prepared to go.
