Sakai Noriko plays the character of Kayama Shizu, a modern woman who doesn't want to follow the family's plans for her to run the family restaurant. Unfortunately, her parents become ill which changes Shizu's perspective on life.

[NHK synopsis]: Kayama Shizu is the only daughter of the fourth-generation owners of the traditional Japanese restaurant, "Kayama." Shizu is a modern young woman, itching to get away from her family business bound in protocol and tradition. However, when her parents both fall ill, her aunts arrive to try to run the restaurant. This is the story of the trials and tribulations of Shizu, living her life her way while dealing with her relatives and the traditional family business.
