Taiyou wa Shizumanai (The Sun became quiet)

This is one of the big dramas this season for FUJI TV starring Takizawa Hideaki who plays the character of Nao.  A kid who always gets in brawls but always fights for his mother.  One day his mother Teruko collapses and later dies.  Nao suspects there is some sort of malpractice involved by the hospital and vows to search for the truth along with his lawyer.  Very much to his own shagrin, he starts falling in love with the hospital owner's daughter.

A little more added to this:  After the mother is cremated, there is this knife or metal object in the objects left in the metal slab.  Thus, the boy tries to find out why this has happened.

REVIEWS: 

A very long drama which seems to keep going and going.  Although it's a Takizawa drama, not sure if it's one of those dramas that would attract everyone.  The ending is complete and you get what you want.  Afterwards (if you rented the drama finale) you are treated with a sort of making of the drama.-KNDY
