PU-PU-PU (a.k.a. Down & Out/Part Timers)

"PU-PU-PU" (9 p.m. on TBS) features the younger three members of the idol group V6 (known as "Kamisen," from their unit's name "Coming Century") as boys who go to a language school in Los Angeles, only to learn it is already bankrupt. The drama focuses on the boys' relationship with their fathers.

[TBS Synopsis]: Three young men who come from very different homes happen to meet and find themselves bound by the common characteristic of having a father with whom they cannot relate. The three of them decide to rebel against their fathers and finally set out on their own to study in Los Angeles. As soon as they arrive in L.A., they discover that the school is already out of business, and that they have been duped by a con-artist. The boys now have no money and must decide if they will swallow their pride and crawl back to their fathers, or find work and stick it out on their own. This bitter-sweet story of father-son relationships stars popular idol group "Coming Century."

I somewhat enjoyed this drama.  It was interesting in the beginning when the Coming Century guys went to America but the main plot is their relationship with their fathers and how they overcome in the end.  It was ok...an average drama. - KNDY
