Nagaru Onna (A Woman Striking a Blow)

Emi Wakui, who vanished from the small screen following her marriage, reappears in "Naguru Onna" (A Woman Striking a Blow, 9 p.m.). She plays a woman fired by an advertising agency who unexpectedly ends up working for a boxing gym, though she hates the sport.

RECOMMENDATION:

I was expecting a Rocky like situation, ala Apollo Creed gets his butt kicked and dies (Rocky IV).  In a way, that's what you feel from the finale because the boxer in Wakui's side was getting beaten.  And when he collapses and is in the hospital, I was expecting the usual character dies in the end drama but it didn't happen that way.  It was like Rocky I, Rocky gets beaten by Apollo and comes back in Rocky II.  So, will there be a Nagaru Onna II....perhaps.  Otherwise, I get a feeling there maybe a part two coming out in which there will be a rematch.  Although, I don't know how drama watchers in Japan care about boxing or not...-KNDY
