Meguri Ai (to become loved/REFRAIN)

Tokiwa, as Eri, shines in this tale of an on-again-off-again seven-year romance with Shuji (Masaharu Fukuyama). The first episode began in 1994 when he was a grad student and she was working hard to save the money to study dance in New York. The money is stolen by a former boyfriend, an incident that brings Shuji and Eri closer together. A year later, he is about to propose when she suddenly gets another chance at New York and they break up.

Again a year passes and he is in New York on business wondering if he just might run into Eri. Well, she spots him on the street but ends up running into a car instead. He turns and notices an accident but, unaware that it is Eri, he just keeps on walking. It is another young Japanese, Shimizu, who stops to help and it is Shimizu she is involved with when she runs into Shuji again at a Tokyo intersection in 1998. To further complicate things, Shuji is now engaged to a company coworker and Shimizu is their company doctor. It's all fate.

"Meguri Ai" is about Shuji(Fukuyama Masaharu) and Eri(Tokiwa Takako) and their relationship as time goes by. 2 years passes and both of them return from New York but they both have different partners. Shuji gets married and Eri's partner wants to marry her. Can the two get back together or will they end up going their separate ways?

Actually, I was liking it but the characters had too many things going on and the ending is not what you expected. The main problem of this drama is pacing because it drags. - KNDY
