KOI NO KATAMICHI KIPPU (Love is a one way ticket) Basic Summary: Narumi (Esumi Makiko) comes back to Japan after being away in Rio de Janerio for about 10 years. Things have changed, she realizes she's at the wrong airport, her twin sister runs off to Hokkaido with her lover, and the sister of her guardian was now an adult. She tries to find her fiancée and then meets Mori Shinichi (Inagaki Goro), who mistakes Narumi for Harumi, Narumi's twin that he has a crush on. She then realizes that she was cheated out of all her money and left with a broken heart, she feels she has nothing left in Japan but Tatsuya(Naito Takashi), her legal guardian, lets her stay at the house. She hesitates for a while but then decides to stay in Japan for a while to hopefully find her love and place in life. There's a tiny love triangle between Narumi, Shinichi, and Maiko(Shinichi's girlfriend) (or so Maiko think's there's a love triangle when there's basically nothing between Shinichi and her). Will Narumi and Shinichi find true love and happiness in the end? well read the review if you want to know. Review:...I think it was a very very cute love drama. A surprising good character played by Goro chan, as well as a surprisingly good role for Naito san...who usually gets stuck with villian and bad guy roles ALL the time...It was nice to see him in a good role for once. Esumi suited the role of Narumi and the hardly seen Harumi. I was surprised at some of the guest stars. Sera Masanori I was definately surprised by. To tell you the truth, I was really bummed about this drama when I heard Goro chan would have a sanmaime role(a comedy relief role, a role of a person that has a crush on someone but the other person doesn't notice...etc) But once I saw his character, all of those worries went away. Yes he had a dorky character...but it was a cute role and it actually suited him. Compared to "Kare", I prefer this sanmaime role over that nimaime(the hero, the kakkoii, the kool role, the guy who gets the girl, etc)role anyday! God "Kare" was just horrible...anywayz, back to this drama. Tamaki(Takashima Reiko) had the role as the pesimist as well as the wise counselor that people went to with their problems. Tatsuya(Naito TakashiThe nice thing about this drama was that everything you hope for in the end basically comes true. Narumi shows that she has feelings for shinichi, shinichi finally gets Maiko off his back, Maiko grows up, Kanako finds happiness, Tatsuya and Tamaki find happiness, ...EVERYTHING ends up the way you want it...so why only the 3 and 1/2 smiles? Well..because...EVERYTHING DOES end up like you want it...I mean...that's just too good to be true...in otherwords, this drama's ending was very predictable.. Does it make it a bad drama? nope. It's a great love comedy if you don't want to be surprised with a very surprise and shocking ending (ex: Wakamono no Subete). This is just a very cute and simple love story... But I think it could have done a bit better....but if I was asked me about this drama, if they like love stories that end up good in the end, I would definately recommend "Koi no Katamichi Kippu". STARRING:
Esumi Makiko, Inagaki Goro,
Naito Takashi, Takashima Reiko, Henmi Emiri, Saruganseki, Furukawa
Rika, Sera Masanori, Haba Yuuichi and more. Can this be....a drama with Inagaki Goro that is actually kinda good. Well, it has to do with Esumi Makiko but it's a surprise how good this drama is but it's too predicitable but it's a little above average. Copyright © 1993-2003
