KIMI TO ITA MIRAI NO TAME NI (For the Future When I Was With You--I'll Be Back)

"Kimi to Ita Mirai no Tame ni--Airu Bi Bakku" (For the Future When I Was With You--I'll Be Back, Saturdays at 9 p.m. on NTV) starring Tsuyoshi Domoto as a 22-year-old who dies on Dec. 31, 1999 and then is doomed to keep living the last four years of his life over and over until he gets it right. It sounds sort of like an elongated version of the film "Groundhog Day" but I will give it a chance. It is too easy to look only at the negative side of local programming and forget that some programs are turning into very successful overseas exports.

[NTV Synopsis]: A college senior who suddenly dies returns to life four years earlier, and, with full memory of his future, attempts to correct past mistakes and realize that previously unaccomplished goals, only to die and be reborn again and again. Though the circumstances are different each time, he encounters people who form a common connecting thread.

Cast: Dohmoto Tsuyoshi, Endo Kumiko, Sano Shiro, Naitou Takashi, Nakama Yukie, Komine Rena, Aoki Shinsuke, Sasai Eisuke and more.
Theme song: "Yamenaide, Pure" by Kinki Kids
NETWORK: NTV
DURATION: Started on January 16, 1999 and currently showing in Japan.
REVIEWS:

From the little of what I saw, it seems to be another NTV crazy drama...not sure if it's about multi-personalities or what.
