Kamen no Onna (The woman in the mask)

At 10 p.m., TBS airs "Kamen no Onna" (The Woman in the Mask), produced by Daiei Co., which prides itself on making "serious" parody dramas. Akiko Hinagata plays a talented marathon runner and Junichi Ishida her coach. When she takes a physical prior to a big race, trouble ensues.

[TBS Synopsis]: Formerly a world-class runner, Shiro's life became dull and monotonous when he retired from his athletic career. Upon accepting a job as the coach of a corporate athletic team, he meets Hiroko, a young woman with great promise of becoming a professional runner. Shiro decides to train her and in doing so finds new meaning to his life. However, Shiro's wife, who holds him responsible for the loss of her leg in a jogging accident, becomes insanely jealous and threatens Shiro's new found joy. Shiro must choose between his wife and his life in this taut psychological drama.

REVIEWS: 

I am usually against drama's starring Hinagata and even Ishida Junichi because they have been so dumb lately.  This one is not that bad!  Although you would lead to think she and her coach have something going on, the drama ends it with a positive note.
