II HITO (Good Person)

As the dorama marathon continues here at my place...from the reaction of our club members....this dorama seems to be the one that has caught our attention. It's kind of interesting because after watching this....Kusanagi Tsuyoshi is starting to remind me of the popular American comedian/actor, Jim Carrey.

As usual, he is the guy everyone usually didn't notice because he was in the shadows of the other members of SMAP who have had good acting careers in dorama's and movies and the others have had a huge fan interest. Until the variety show, SmapxSmap where we got to see Kusa do really funny skits...then we started to see more and more of him. His role in the parody of "Furuhata Ninsaburo" with Kimura Takuya was very popular and as time went on, we started to see Tsuyoshi in the doramas and his roles in those doramas got better and better, "Kekkon Shiyouyo", "Oishii Kankei", "Boku ga boku de aru tame ni", The special of "Sashow Taeko Saigo no Jiken" and now the lead role in the current dorama series, "Iihito". In the past 2 months I have noticed more pictures and spotlights of Kusa in magazines and also a show in which they chose Kusanagi the "Target" (feature) a few weeks ago. I'm glad to see that Kusanagi joins his other SMAP members in the forefront and is no longer in their shadows.   When watching this dorama, you can't help laughing and thinking "Forest Gump". This is a role that I really can't picture anybody doing but Tsuyoshi. "Iihito" is funny, idiotic and entertaining all at the same time (just like a Jim Carrey movie). I look forward to seeing more roles with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi in the future and I'm sure you will too.

REVIEWS:

If you want to see why Kusanagi Tsuyoshi wins awards for his acting, it's because he can do comedic roles that not many people are good at.  I think many of you who want something humorous will love "Ii Hito".  Again, think of Forest Gump.-KNDY
